Question about Avaya Corded Phone avaparp18d
I have a 10 year old Lucent partner phone system. Each extension has two intercom buttons. I would like to use the intercom system but do not remember how to. I would like to be able to intercom one extension and/or all extensions at the same time. How do I do it?
A Partner is a pretty simple system and the phones are probably all in a single calling group. Your extensions are numbered from 10 to whatever, so at the least you can grab a phone, press the intercom button and dial 0 or 10. It will ring the main phone.
From there, you can start dialing 11,12,13 etc and build your directory. IIRC pressing * in front of the number turns it into a handsfree call. Now, here's where you get to see what kind of installation you have :-) Press intercom and dial *71. With luck, every idle phone will have paging. (71 will ring every phone btw).
This does require programming and an extension can be either in or out of a group.
I do have a basic Partner ACS manual on my website. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Partner_ACS.pdf
The display phone users manual in in the document. Page 179 starts chapter 6, a 30 page guide to the phones.
