i fixed it by putting machine on shift lock then taking the daisy wheel out and finding the capital letter A then while holding the letter in place i replaced the wheel and now it works perfet hope this will help someone.

The printwheel is probably defective. The machine is supposed to "auto home" the printwheel when you turn it on.

Glad you figured it out !

Reset code for daisy wheel

check this link on which printwheels work with your model to make sure you have the right one. There is no reset, except after you insert the printwheel and close the cover, it will automatically go to the proper position, unless there is something wrong with it.

See the instructions on page 12 of this manual:

When you put the correction tape in make sure it is in the guides on both sides and also between the two metal fingers and the metal cardholder. Also make sure the ribbon goes in the same place.. The dull side of the corr. tape should be towards the platen or it won't correct.

Brother GX6750 typewriter correcting on wrong line

It sound like either the operator is turning the roller (platen) to see where you should correct..or the linespace mechanism is turning the roller from the line of type.Perhaps the detent (by the line space selector lever is set to 0 instead of 1, 1 1/2 or 2

The line of type is important that is stays and not drifts. Tighten the platen knob if the screw in..right to tighten left to loosen.
Hope this helps
