SOURCE: I have a problem, I

The fuse blowing is significant. If you could possible post back the rating of the fuse, then possibly we can narrow down the suspects. The idea being, it the Amps of the fuse is rated high, then It signifies that there is a short in the circuitry big enough to draw excessive current such as the electrical components and blow that fuse. If however the fuse rating is rather low, then the short is on a lower load such as the electronics.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back on the rating of the fuse that blows, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

if r 11 is bad you should really check the bearing on the tub you will probably find it to be bad or going bad causing the moter to pull more amps causing r 11 to burn out.

My front load washing machine is working but the water don't seem to enter.

First of all check filters in hoses & water valves, if ok then water inlet valve may be burnt out. Unplug power cord, remove top panel panel, check where 2 wires go to each water valve & check that area on valves for burning. If burnt or smells of burning, replace valve. IN SOME INSTANCES A COMPONENT BURN OUT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO CONTROL BOARD.

Hi Norm33,

The often found cause of this problem is the door interlock. There is a safety feature to stop any operation while the door is open. If this becomes faulty, the washer may still not work even when the door is closed. Check that when closing the door, the catch is activating the switch. To test the switch, first make sure the WASHER IS NOT PLUGGED IN, then use an electrician's meter to test the resistance across the switch. You should put the two electrodes on the contacts at the back of the switch. When the door is closed, the resistance reading should read a very low value.

Another possible cause for this is a fault on the timer. You should inspect the connecting wires for any sign of burnt plastic or charring on the spade connectors. You will need to replace the timer if this is the problem. Please dont forget to rank me.

My washer will not go to the spin cycle. the timer continues to run but the door lock releases and it will not spin. everything else works fine

On this model there could be several reasons why the washer will not go into the spin cycle. The most common problem is the machine control board not providing voltage to the door lock wax motor. This type of diagnosing will require accessing the console area & inspecting the machine control board resistors. I am sending you an image showing where on the control board to look. If the R11 resistor is burnt like I suspect then you will need to replace the door lock wax motor & machine control board. If this diagnosis does not help I am sending you a list of other possibilities. On this model you may consider calling a service tech out to diagnose & repair. Also if you need help with parts please send in the serial number. Please see the images provided in the attachment below for further instructions.

My maytag 3000 washer displays f70

Error code F70 means Control Unit Failure, no communication is detected between the control board & interface. You'll need to use a multimeter to check for the continuity between the Keypad and the control board. Inspect the wiring between the boards. Also check for any burnt component on the control board. You may need to replace the control board or user interface. To be sure whether the boards use a multimeter. Usually if the drum moves then user interface is bad else its the control board. hope this helps...

No power to calypso washing machine model #11022062102

HI. You will need to first Make sure there's power getting to the washer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the washer, if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

Now, if you are getting power to the unit correctly, this will then lead to a failed control board. This unit is equipped with a Machine control Board. This board is responsible for routing power, and commands through out the unit. There are a couple of logic chips that are mounted on this board. If the chips become damaged, this will cause the board to be rendered useless. This will ,also, render the unit inoperable. In this case, the Machine Control Board should be replaced.

Machine Control Part number is 8571359

Does anyone have the schematic for LCD control

I don’t believe you will find a schematic for the control board. I have a FAV6800AW all I have be able to find is the wiring schematic found in the FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW Service Manual.
Is your machine out of the 5yr warranty period for the Control Board? I got Maytag to send me one.

Machine will start and then stop

It sounds like the motor control board is shot. Inspect the MCB for burnt components or a blown 10 amp fuse. This board is located down by the floor on the right side. See for disassembly pictures.

If you have a blown 10 amp fuse or there are burnt components then the MCB will need to be replaced along with the motor as Maytag has redesigned them to be more reliable. The new part number is 12002039, which is a motor conversion kit. It takes about an hour to install.

Maytag mah4000 washer

I'm not familiar with this particular model but I will tell you this:

The schematics for these circuit boards are generally not published. The reason is that the average repair guy will not want to fix them and probably lacks the expertise. Q means transistor. Transistors are 'relays' after a fashion. If you can see a number, you may be able to access a replacement. Otherwise, I would change the board. The fact that the washer will start sounds like the relay that the board controls is operating properly.

You may be able to find a board renewal/exchange online for less than a whole new one. Be sure to unplug the machine and ground yourself when handling the board.
