SOURCE: Intel D875PBZ MB - RAM limit with AGP Video Card Installed

Sorry as far as I know and experienced all 32 bit XP and Vista will only recognize up to 3,4 GB of ram and no more. whether its dual channel or not.
You will have to go to a 64 bit O/S to use it.
Even then there are limits some 64 bit O/S will only use 4 GB others more

Self having the following configuration on Home desktop PC. INTEL 1.7GHz, P4, D845GBV motheboard with AGP ATI Radeon 9000 graphics card, RAM is 2 x DIMM DDR2 266 Hz, 1 x 1GB + 1 x 512MB total 1.5GB RAM....

Power down and disconnect AC power from your PC. Remove the AGP card and DIMM again and use some "canned air" or dusting spray to get any dust off the contacts on your motherboard and your memory and AGP card. Wiping the AGP card contacts with some isopropyl alcohol (also known as IPA or "rubbing alcohol") and a clean, lint-free cloth can also help. When everything is dry, put your card and memory back in and try powering up again.

Hard disk and ram size

Here's a quote from a site which sells that board.

The D915GAGL provides 4 DIMM sockets using 184-pin DDR with a total capacity of up to 4GB. You can install DDR PC3200/2700 memory modules.

I see yours isn't an AGL, but if you open up your case and see that there're four slots for ram, then it should have the same limit.

What this means is, each slot can handle a max of 1GB per stick. So 4 sticks is for GB's.

As for hard drive size, this is usually a limit of the OS and not really a problem since earlier windows days. You should be able to put a fairly large hard drive in there, just make sure the right cables are used. This board uses SATA cables, so your hard drive must be SATA not PATA.

Hope this helps.

Caid.

3 Beep sounds-No boot

As you probably know 3 long beeps on an Intel motherboard is memory failure. Even if RAM is good your Motherboard may have problems in reading your ram module.
If you are using a PCI or AGP video card try also removing and putting back video card, video adapters use shared RAM and can give you troubles with RAM.
Always perform all maintainance on motherboard with power unplugged and avoid to touch contacts and circuits with your finger.
If the 1GB module is new, verify with seller that your motherboard support this memory, some motherboard do not support double density RAM.
