Question about Maytag NFW7200TW Front Load Washer
Drum motor appears to have stopped working all the sudden (it won't spin at all). There are no errors displayed. Looking to perform some self diagnostics before calling out a repairman or replacing the washer. Thanks.

If it has a belt try loosening the belt and see if the transmission and pump will turn and are not stuck.
If they are they will have to be replaced. Try the motor and see if it turns freely with the belt loose or off. If they all turn freely check motor.

Sorry, I cannot solve this. I just wanted to post a couple of useful tips for anyone else out there who happens to be diagnosing their MAH7500AWW.
1. You can put the washing machine into service mode by pressing the <back> and <help> buttons for 5 seconds and then releasing.
2. There is a large folded troubleshooting schematic located under the top console. You have to remove a few screws and lift it up to pull it out.

We had the same problem with the same model machine and solved it.
Our machine was a month old and started getting stuck at minute 8, so we arranged service calls through Amana customer service. Long story short, the first three service reps couldn't figure out the problem. Two of them called Amana's in-house tech support line and the Amana techs didn't know what the problem was. The fourth repairman was smarter than his predecessors. He called the Amana in-house tech line, spoke to a rep who didn't know what was wrong, and then called in again. He explained that. based on his experience, some in-house techs knew more than others. That turned out to be the case because on his next call-in to Amana, that rep knew exactly what the problem was and recommended replacing the main computer board module. The repair guy ordered and installed the part. The machine has been working perfectly for a month.

The ring is a clamp that keeps the rubber part, called the bellow, attached to the front panel of the washer. To reinstall hook the edge of the bellow around the lip of the opening in the front panel (the hole through which you put your laundry). Then take the clamp and seat it in the groove of the bellow behind the lip of the front panel. The spring on the clamp should pull the bellow tight to the opening of the panel.
