My Maytag glass cook top PER5710BAQ stove has broken cook top are the similar product model tops compatible or do I need to buy the exact top... IE could I buy an amana cook top or whirlpool since they are...

It will depend how the tops electrical terminations are. Many internal/fuses/switches/elements are the same, but though may tag is the parent manufacturer it always isn't interchangable. Like a Pontiac g6 and Pontiac sunfire...
They're both 2 door cars
Both made by Pontiac
Some parts are identicle
But some aren't.

Was cooking I'n oven. Heard a big pop sound and saw lghtning I'n tne oven. Now oven will heat a little but won't cook or broil ?

Hello,

That sounds like the heating element went out when it first goes it could look like a lightning strike. Replacing the bake or broil element ,depending which one was on at the time will fix your oven. If you were baking replace bake element if ya werebroiling replace that one.
Reply with EXACT model number and i'll give ya the part number

F-3 is flashing after about five minutes of cook time

This is an oven temperature sensor problem. Check the sensor first it should have a reading of about 1100 ohms. If it is good replace the control otherwise replace the sensor. It is located inside the oven near the top, long thin tube like. Enter your model # at www.appliancehelponline.com for a diagram or illustration.

Amana gas oven not working

The ignitor may be too weak to open the gas valve. If you have a volt/ohm meter capable of reading AMPS you can hook up to a ignitor wire and turn the oven ON. If you read less than 3.5 amps replace the ignitor. If 3.5 amps or more are read, replace the gas valve.

One of my gas burners won't start

Only 2 potential culprits in this case.

The Control Valve (behind the control knob) is bad... or the gas outlet on top of the stove is clogged with food :D

Take it apart and give it a good cleaning or replace.

Fire from top of Microwave

It's not a dangerous or diffcult job for a do-it-yourselfer.

That would be the waveguide cover (also called the stirrer fan cover), and it would need to be replaced to prevent future damage to the magnetron.

Check your model number sticker to get the full model number with suffix and the manufacturer number (PACO1860AB0 for example).

Then you can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

Good luck and good cooking!
