First off, make sure you have all your important data backed up to an external drive or SD card and then reboot you EeePC. Please note that any additional software that was installed will also be erased.
1)Turn off the Eee PC. Press the power button or select the shut down option from the computer's main desktop screen. 2)Turn the unit on and press the "F9" when the flash (logo) screen appears. A menu will appear with a list of options to choose from.3)Select the "Restore Factory Settings" option from the bottom of the list in the menu and type "Yes" when prompted to verify the reset. 4)Press "Enter" when prompted by the computer to reboot the system. Wait a few seconds for the system to reboot. 5)when the EeePC reboots it will ask you to enter a username and password just like it did when you took it out of the box, and then boot to the original "easy" desktop.Follow the prompts on screen to accept the licensing agreement and configure your settings.6)Hope this information is useful to you.. feel free to post your comments. THANKS FOR USING FIXYA........ BEST WISHES
Hi thus your eeepc is still under warranty? Your eeepc comes with a recovery CD. But the problem is that laptop have no CD rom drive. You have to buy a CD rom Drive that you have to connect to usb, or you have to go to fry's and buy this tools deluxe usb 2.o to IDE cable for 2.5/3.5/5.25 drive with power adapter. find an old CD rom and use that so you can use the recovery CD that comes with the laptop. or you can do this copy that recovery CD to a 8g usb memory stick. them connect it to you eeepc. Hope this info will help you solve your problem.
