Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

There is a slight buzzing sound on my TV

With the PS3 connected via hdmi to my 58"lcd, there is a buzzing sound and a slow rolling shadow going up the screen. The shadow takes about 5 seconds to go up the screen and is only a little darker, but noticable. It happens whenever the ps3 is connected, even if it is turned off with the back power button. Is it the tv, console, or hdmi cable?

same basic problem. i did read that if you get a two prong adapter and put that on the ps3 cord and then plug that into the outlet it should solve the lines in the screen haven't tried to see if it will work on the buzzing noise.

PS3 is plugged into componet video1.  first I was hearing a slight buzzing noise and now the color is purplish and the buzzing is louder.  The PS3 is connected to a Bose receiver.  Tried different inputs on for both the video and audio, no change........hoping its the A/V cable, and ideas....???

Sounds like your HDMI cable is crappy.......if its aftermarket, make sure its a good quality......you can check the resistance of the cable with a multi-meter in the "ohms" mode.  The cable package should have the ohms value on it, if the cable is out or range, thats your problem.......

Sound shutting off in the middle of gaming

Is the HDMI lead just just coming slightly loose? Otherwise I can't think of anything else - it's definately the lead. If it isn't because it's coming loose, I'd recommend getting a new lead.

Samsung lcd ln46a550pf3 no sound from hdtv reciever

ok your tv does not come with the very best sound, you have to get a receiver 7.1 or you can use the optical wire , that's if the system you are using has that option.

Shadowing on screen

You should get a good surge protector. Sometimes some areas have a spike in the power. That will cause interference in the TV signal coming from your PS 3. Try out different surge protectors that should solve your problem.
