Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

No sound after charging from dead.

Hey: I have a LG VX8550B that was working fine. I let my battery run dead and after charging fully, I now have no sound. There is sound at start-up and shut off, but no sound during calls and I can't play any music. Have you heard of this? Phone is useless in this state.

No go. It still has no sound other than the startup music.

All settings are correct. When called, the phone rings and makes ringtone, but you can not hear the other person and they can't hear you. Same thing when calling out. Also, music can not be played.

Hello, I had the same problem with this phone. What you need to do is turn off the cellular phone, take out the battery and leave it out for thirty seconds. Once you reboot the phone, the problem should be fixed. If not, I do have a few other solutions. Let me know how it works out for you.

Have you checked your settings? Sometimes without knowing it, we click/tap the wrong settings and therefore you will not be able to hear any sounds. Try going through the settings and see what your "sounds and notifications" are.

LG VU,battery indicator shows fully charged but I can only talk a couple of minutes before phone shuts off and shows dead battery? Just a dead battery or something else going on here?

Hello,

I believe the cells of your battery is very weak that is why it can no longer hold charges for long.

All you need to do is to get a new battery on your phone and makesure you charge the new battery to its maximum capacity before you start making use of it.

This will help preserve the life span of the battery and make it last longer.

Take care.

Electric start will not work

You should remove the battery and charge it up outside the machine then take it to your local auto parts store where they will load test it for free. It must be fully charged to test. Most of the time those small batteries are dead due to the heat produced in the machine. These batteries only run about $30 or less usually.

Note: BEFORE CHARGING if the battery is not sealed ensure the battery water level is good (no exposed plates, usually the water is about 1 1/2" below the top of the holes). Use pure bottled water if you need to add water.

Battery went dead

Most likely you have a bad battery you can check by taking out the battery and feeling on it if it is flat than its good if it has a bump on it than it is no good.

me too. just started today. i had let the battery run down all the way. i tried taking the battery out but that didn't help.

I also accidentally dropped it in my coffee this afternoon, after the battery ran out, so that might have something to do with it.
