Your score is probably on Treyarch's servers and won't be reset, but maybe deleting your game save will reset it. WARNING: You will loose any progress you have made in the campaign, but you'll still keep your achievements. To delete the save, go to the SYSTEM tab all the way right on the dashboard, Choose memory, then Games, then pick Call of Duty WaW, then pick delete. Look at any of the other folders and delete anything related to CoD World at War. Hopefully this will reset your score online.

there have been scripting errors on COD:WaW where it has trouble with the graphics card. when you turn it on, does it say 'error code E74'? if so, you will need a new graphics card.
First try to update the PlayStation software itself and then update the COD. Due to specs of PS3 soft none of updates will allow background download. and make sure that your internet connection is uninterrupted, I sugest u to use wired connection rather than wireless, and while update is in progress try to keep all other internet connection requiring equipment offline for smoother process.
The best solution would be to call microsoft at 1-800-4MYXBOX (I think that's the number, but you might want to check at xbox.com) and tell them your problem. I'm thinking it's the Left 4 Dead disc because from your question it runs world at war just fine. Try using a friend's L4D disc or rent it. And see if the problem occurs. Load the game ( it should now load fine while not being logged onto PSN)3. When reaching the start menu do not press start!!!!4. Tap the home button and log onto your account.5. After logged on tap the button again and the game will run fine.
