I have a Canon i550 printer. I recently purchased an Epson r2880 printer. Can I hook the Epson up to the same computer? Reason: I want to print 4x6's, 5x7's from the Canon and better quality enlargements from the Epson without having to do any plugging/unplugging. I own a Dell computer with 2 USB ports.
The answer is yes!You can have as many printing deveces as you want.If you are out of USB ports, purchase a USB hub (please plug the printer directly into a USB port to have the device recognized) then load the drivers. If you don’t have the drivers google “epson r2880 driver” and you will be good to go.You will have to select a default printer in ‘Settings’ but you will be prompted each time you print.Happy computing! There are many solutions posted already - what I do is in photoshop i start to print - even though I cant select the paper I want because the wrong ink is recorded - and I click print preview... then click print. The epson drivers tries to print, THEN detects the NEW ink and sends me back to selecting the paper with the new ink properly sensed. I hope this helps.
Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
hi Leah, there is a possibility that the CD or the ROM you have is not working completely or CD is damaged, not to worry because the software you need is downloadable from epson for free, just click on the link below and select your operating system if it is XP, Vista or Mac OS X
