SOURCE: PCL XL error

Okay,

You printer driver is telling you that it received a font call at data position 317 that called for a Windings font, but the printer cannot find the indicated font.

More than likely you have not enabled soft fonts to be included in the datastream and the printer has no choice but to search its internal fonts to find the fonts.

If it cannot, the driver reports the failure.

If you can create a print file for me, and send it to me at [email protected], I will be able to read the datastream and possibly fix the failure for you.

SOURCE: Printing Pdf Files on Google Chrome

Good luck on this one. Chrome does this and they have not fixed it, yet. Try Firefox, it works correctly in this respect.

I am getting a pcl xl error I/O Subsystem: InputReadError Error: ReadImage Operator: ReadImage Position : 14 Please help this only happens when tyring to print a PDF from Adobe 9.

You didn't say what kind of printer you have.
Sounds like a driver problem.
Go to the manufacturers web site and download the latest drivers for your printer.
If you were using the PCL6 driver, try installing the PCL5 driver. If you were using the PCL5, try using the PCL6.

In Adobe Reader 9: try this 1

1. Choose File > Print.
2. Click on Advanced.

may or may not work try it

Hp laserjet 3600 PCL XL error when printing a PDF

This is a known issue with 'host-based' printers like the 3600. You need the PCL5 driver, which this printer will not work with. You need a different printer, such as the HP 3520.

This page will explain it all.

Toshiba PCL XL error

The printer which was having this issue is Toshiba 6520C which is running the PCL6 driver. I didn't want to mess about with the driver.

However we also have Toshiba2330C on site.

The issue was only occuring when printing from internet explorer another page was being printed with an error "PCL XL ERROR".

The problem was only on the Toshiba 6520C.

Fix - needed to tick "enable advanced printing features" which was not on.

Start - Devices and Printers - Right click on printer - Printer properties - Advanced Tab - tick "enable advanced printing features". Please note you may need to do this on the file print server.

I am trying to print to adobe to convert to a pdf file. I am receiving an error stating Prodcut name: distiller Warning: Script-cannot be embedded beacuse of font file error. Error: undefined; offending...

You probably have Adobe reader which will allow you to read an Adobe document but not write a pdf file. For that you have to buy Adobe Acrobat. There are, however, free packages that will convert a file into pdf format. Try googling for "convert a file into pdf" or something similar.
