    Hi and welcome to FixYa,

    Almost always, problems of this nature would indicate either a slipping or cut belt. Try unplugging the VCR fro about 10 minutes, press the eject button while plugging it back in. Should this not be corrective, the top cover would have to be removed to manually turn the gears/mechanism to extract the tape. This method however would allow a portion of the tape to slack and therefore possible have creases thereafter.

    Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

You might have to unplug the player for about 1 to 2 minutes then the tape should automatically eject once you plug back into the oulet.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, the top cover must be removed. Theis would allow you to:

  • manually eject the tape by turning the worn gear/mechanism. The only problem would be slack on the tape causing creases;
  • check/replace belt(s).
Check and perform preliminary visual or necessary inspection. Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

VHS tape will not eject.

The elctromagnetic tape may be jammed inside. Open the front access to the VHS and inspect for some jams such as toys (if you have kids). You can try grabbing the VHS tape with something while pressing the eject button. Sometimes it needs some assistance to overcome the jam. Good luck!

Vhs eject will not release tape.

I had a suggestion that did work. Reach into the VHS compartment with left hand and press down toward the back of the tape. With the right hand press the eject button a few times and the tape did come out. I would not buy a Samsung product again. No help from their 800 tech support. No more playing the VHS side of the player. Lynn

Why does the VCR ejects my tape?

The VHS PlayPak adaptor uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHS-C tape into the adaptor and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink-wrap has been removed from the battery.
