SOURCE: magicolor 2300DL 17H fatal - labels stuck in printer

This happened to me last week. A label (or part of it) has adhered to the belt inside the printer. It's an easy fix. Turn off printer and open the side door. Remove waste toner bottle. Lift blue handle in direction of arrow to 11 o'clock position to release belt unit. Carefully remove OPC drum by pressing and pulling handle as shown by little graphic (try not to leave this drum in lighted area and don't touch green drum with fingers). Next, remove two chrome thumbscrews (may have to use slotted screwdriver) on either side of belt unit, then pull out belt unit and inspect to find stuck label. You can rotate belt easily. I removed stuck label and then cleaned glue residue with Elmer's Sticky Out ( a citrus product with no solvents) and a soft cloth. Clean thoroughly and replace belt unit, replaced thumbscrews, OPC drum, and finally, the Waste Toner bottle. Close door, turn on printer and test.

SOURCE: Printing labels

You have to feed the labels through the manual feeder.

SOURCE: label sheets won't feed, jam

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button. (On the X83, press the Select button.)
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

good luck..

SOURCE: label stuck on a roller?

Looks like label stuck on the toner cartridge. Easiest solution would be to replace toner cartridge or if you can slowly spin the OPC drum on toner cartridge till you find label NOTE: damage to the OPC drum with affect print quality as well as oil from fingers will affect PQ( print quality)

SOURCE: QL-550 Label Stuck

Normally theres a lever you pull (the same one you use to manually pull the labels through), if you pull that, you should be able to blow the label out, or pull it through.

Can you run 9 x 12 envelopes on Konica Minolta Bizhub 880 from LCT tray

You can try it, but the manual says 10 at a time via the Bypass tray. The problem is the fact that normal paper from the trays takes a rather tortuous route through the machine that contains sharp turns. By far the easiest way to print a lot of envelopes is to use Avery 8163 Labels. Use the Avery template and create the pages of addresses and print 50 at a time from the normal paper tray.

How can I get my Avery 8876 business card sheets to feed through my printer?

Avery is a fairly good name in the business.Brother on the other hand seems to have ignored the reasons why folks don't buy brothers. It's these little annoying things that bigger company's have spent time and energy on. For one there's usually a lever you push to control how much pressure the two fusing rollers push; hot rollers, for years this perplexed the big guys because there all ready is a pretty small tolerance of melting the toner and not burning the paper; melting the toner(powered plastic) next was the ever annoying OHP overhead projector sheets. this is plastic toner on plastic"paper" nightmare! melt the toner but not the plastic its on.... Well enough of engineering issues, time and perseverance paid off. now comes a sticky label on a waxxy surface that is twice as thick as paper and yet has toner to be fixed on it and dried....Some company's like cannon tried a cold roller that seemed to work at first but when things went bad they really went bad.labels coming off all in the wrong places... Toshiba and Savin Ricoh decided to get with Avery and others and make one side harder to come off than the other; reduce the squeeze pressure and increase the opposite "static cling" voltage. Also the angle it hit the feed section// Bypass feed only/Lt-R. Following the printed directions in the individual label sheet seemed to reduce the issue to a minimum. Understanding all the changes the poor piece has to go go through in an 8second processes is half the battle. hope this helps a smidge~~~SC

How can i avoid label sheets getting stuck in phaser 8560

1. Make sure you are feeding the labels from the bypass tray, not from the cassette.-
2. Make sure the labels are for Laser printers, not Inkjet printers.
3. Do not try and re-use a label sheet that only was half printed on.
4. When you put the labels in the bypass tray, set the paper type to labels...this slows down the print process so they won't get jammed.

Set up a mail merge for labels avery L7162, but the printer prints them a different size - Printer is HP M3035. It is something not set up on the printer

You will need to feed these through the manual tray and you should set the paper size and type to match this label. The avery site shows this as an A4 label sheet. If you are in North America the default on this printer is letter size not A4.You should also ensure that you have configured the print driver correctly when you go to print.

Printer Jam - when i put a sheet of Avery labels, printer jams

When you say TOP TRAY, do you mean a paper drawer, or the BYPASS TRAY? If the labels won't feed into the bypass but bond paper does, check to see if your labels are made for inkjet printers. Go to www.avery.com and contact Avery customer support to see what product they recommend for your MFC. Labels made for plain paper printers sometimes do not work for inkjets, and vice-a-versa.

Avery Ink Jet Magnetic Sheets - 3270

It worked fine for us on an Epson. We printed about 40 sheets fed one at a time. Do not stack the sheets in the feed hopper, they stick together because of the magnetism.

There is no template because the material is not die cut. It is just full 8.5x11" sheet size.
