Yesterday I turned off television, Direct TV, and receiver using the remote. One hour later nothing responded to the remote. When you lift the remote, it still lights, but the button to turn on TV does nothing. When I then manually turned on all components, the Logitech remote will not turn anything off. Nothing responds to it.
System installed October 10, 2008 by the Geek Squad. Worked great until yesterday. Logitech always kept on recharging station. Never dropped or treated any way bad - always treated with kid gloves.
TV is Panasonic 50 inch 1080 Plasma. Receiver is Yamaha RX-V663BL. Thanks. Mark Osborn

reset the code download from www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www.remotecodelist.com open the remote control. clean the keypads switch, for dirty, oxide, bad contacts switch, or open use the VOM, see the block diagram, if these switch are NOT o.k they will not send infrared signal to the microcontroller from the receiver. If this doesnot resolve the problem go to the repair shop TV for fix it. God bless you
Hi. Try learning the power commands for your Vizio TV from the original remote. The power commands that the Harmony remote is using may not be correct. The following tutorial by Logitech will assist you with this.
To check to see if your device is controlled by a RF (radio frequency) or IR (infrared) remote:
Power the device on manually
Cover the front of the original remote that came with the device with your hand
Press any button on the remote that you know the device would respond to normally
If the device responds even when your hand is covering the front of the remote, the remote is RF and the device cannot be controlled by the Harmony remote
Another test that can be performed is using digital camera:
Using any digital camera, even one on a cell phone, camcorder or webcam, look through the screen of the camera at the front of the remote
Press a few buttons on the original remote
If you see flashes of light as illustrated, the remote is IR and the Harmony can control it. If the remote does not flash, this original remote is an RF remote and the device cannot be controlled by the Harmony remote
For comparison, try the same steps with a remote control that you know is working correctly, such as the original remote for the TV, or DVD player. You should see the IR emitters flashing when performing this test.
this remote has a help button to resolve setup issues. you should see a message on the screen ask ing if you need help. If not this function can be activated using the setup software. Try using the remote to watch TV. Then press the help button(be sure to have the remote pointed at the TV). The remote will attempt to fix itself. the screen will then ask if that fixed the problem-choose yes or no. Continue to follow the prompts until everything is the way you want it.
This should get everything working for you. I assume you did connect the remote to your computer and went through the setup software.
I use this remote and I love it. Just be sure when using it to give time for it to send commands to all the devices.
