SOURCE: My Fender Supersonic 60w head

Next is to check if the speaker is open circuit. Check with ohmeter or plug in a radio/hifi at low volume to the speaker.

If speaker is OK, next suspect is power supply. This will be over 400 volts so not safe for the unwary. I assume filaments are lighting up.

You have a ground problem. You most likely need this: ground lift at the outlet ( http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HumX/ ) or a similar product for inline of the cable. also available at that site

My Fender LX1506 powered mixer keep blowing the fuse as soon as i turn it on what is the problem?

There is a direct short somewhere. Is the fuse the right size amps? volts? You dont want to put an dc fuse in an ac power amp. Double check your fuses.

When i plug an MXR micro amp (volume boost) in front of the supersonic, it works on the clean channel but does not affect the burn channel, Why? By the way, when plug in to the effect loop it does work...

DO NOT USE a guitar pedal in effects loop as it has the WRONG signal levels.

Also, when you boost the gain preceeding a distortion setting in an amp, the amp will just limit out and it will appear that the effects in the amp aren't working... but what is happening is you wind up with too much input signal and the "flat topping" distortion occurs right at the inout of the amp so no further can occur when you select a distortion in the amp.

It just doesn't have enough power for what you want. Either get a bigger version amp OR mic it and run it into the PA system where hopefully you have enough power.

These seem to be tempermental. I would look for radio frequency interference from nearby transmitter leaking into your guitar cable or mic cable that puts this on the ragged edge of feedback. DO NOT boost highs with the EQ... You can get supersonic feedback that you can't hear, but puts the amp into limiting. Any audio input can start the feedback. These amps are VERY hard to work on due to the packaging. A lot of people have smoked their units and then require repairing.

My Fender Supersonic 60w head is getting zero sound thru my speaker. Not even the usual ground level hiss. Checked/replaced all tubes. The fuses are good. Cables are good.

My supersonic 22 makes a popping noise when switching between channels. Is this a problem in the design or just my unit?

This would be expected. Very high quality audio equipment like mixers for instance will have a soft mute during changes... you just don't find that on any of the guitar amps... The popping is lost in the rest of the "noise". I won't go into the technical explanation other than any slight charge difference at switch contacts or electronic switches will generate a pop when the circuit is closed.

So, i think I've blown the fuse in my Marshall MG 100 HDFX head (I tried to run 2 speaker cables out of the head into a quad...stupid >.<). What type of fuse do these heads use? How can i access...

The fuse is inside the unit so as to force you to open it and look for damage.

The fuse is likely a 3 amp/250 volt type.

Replace the fuse and then put a 100 Watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the power input. If the lamp stays lit with no load on the unit, then there is damage that requires repair before use. If you just replace the fuse repeatedly you may damage further components.

In the future obey the minimum resistance load on your amps.

Hello...I am an owner of the Fender Passport PD-500 Sound System

Replace the fuse only once. If it blows right away, then servicing is required as continued replacement will likely damage more inside.

Most of thes have a fuse holder that is a part of the input power socket. There is a little rectangular panel adjacent where the cord connects with a tab that you gently pry out and carries a small fuse. Replace the fuse and re-install the carrier.

These units are very hard to work on due to packaging.
