52wx4 is not the model number of the stereo...it is just purely stating the power that the stereo can handle...which is 52watts x 4...2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers...52watrs going to each

Where can I get/download a manual for the Sony Xplod 52wx4 car radio

Sony's web site will provide a free owner's manual download, but you'll have to find out the model number. It should be printed on the faceplate, and will probably start with "CDX". Sony has used "Xplod" for their car audio line for at least the last 10 years, and 52x4 is a pretty common power rating for them, too; so you'll need more specific information before you start searching.

Once you find your model number, here's the link: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DOCS

the model should probably be cdx followed by numbers. barring that the model # should be on the chassis of the deck. you could try pressing the reset switch (should either be a small indentation about the size of a pencil tip on the face, or a small hole on the subpanes behind the face. if there is no reset switch, you can reset it by disconnecting power for a few minutes.
