SOURCE: coffee tastes very acidic

Hi kdimof,
I realize you posted this problem over a year ago, but I was curious to see if you were ever able to resolve this problem, or find the exact cause.
I have the same issue you describe. I descaled my Lattissima for the first time using the Nespresso descaling solution. And now, two months later, I cannot remove the chemical smell/taste of the descaling solution. I've run numerous descaling cycles with just water (as per Nespresso's customer service advice), with no success. I was forced to accept a refurbished machine (even though my Lattissima was only 3 months old). The refurbished machine is currently on the way. We'll see if I have the same issue when I descale this one.
Thanks, Redfran

First you need to check the capsule container. Make sure that there are not any coffee remains both the liquid of dry coffee since will blocked the capsule to sit in proper place and thus to be press correctly. If you find anything you need to clean them very well with a warm wet sponge (remove machine from plug).

The second possibility is that one part of the lever and capsule container have brake either a plastic part or a metal rod or a spring moved out of place. In this case you need a new capsule container which you can find in this link.

Here is also you machine parts diagram.

Try filling both water and the milk container with the correct decalcifying solution - just slit the 500 ml that results from the 1:1 mixture and - without the coffee capsule - press the cappucino button. Instead of cappucino you will get the decalcifying solution running through the entire system including the connector for the milk container (unlike the recommended decalcification method where you use the extra nozzle). Good luck - worked for my machine which only produced steam but no milkfoam...

Try pressing all 4 buttons on top of the machine simultaneously after turning on the machine for a few seconds. That resets all volumes to the original factory settings.

The unit is heating the steam - the lights should switch to contant once the right temperature is reached. Make sure to always descale the machine if the cappuccino button light turns orange.

Water button orange light appear even after descaling

I had the same problem too.
Do repeat the descaling with water only. After the descaling the Lattissima shuts down. Just wait some time after shutdown before restarting the Lattissima again. The orange light will be turned off.
Hope this helps you too!
