SOLUTION(S): Reset the Sheet Feeder Gears
If the power fails while the paper is feeding or during a print job, the paper feed gears will lose their proper
alignment. The reason is that after the power is restored the paper feed gears will attempt to return to the
home position, which may not be possible if the paper stop cam is not in the correct position.
PROCEDURES
1. Remove the sheet feeder from the unit.
2. Remove the sheet feeder motor from the sheet feeder assembly.
3. Remove the drive gear from its spindle.
4. Realign the lifting tray gear and paper stop cam gear.
5. Reinstall the drive gear and sheet feeder motor.
6. Reattach the sheet feeder to the print unit.
7. Reassemble the unit.

Hello, i have read it and I think it can help you
Only thing I could deduce was that it was time for a new printhead.... which I ordered from: http://www.printheadxpress.com/. I have had years of trouble free usage from my MP730, and I wasn't about to dump it for a new printer (just yet). The printhead cost $48.95. Hope this helps.

My cannon D680 prints a blank page after every print or copy job. the pages print fine but at the end it always feeds 1 blank page. what can it be?

See if there is an option in your settings to print a "job owner" page after each job. That's not what it's actually called but I had a similar issue with a Canon printer and found that you can have the printer automatically print a page after the job that identifies who sent the job to the printer. It's the last page so it lands on top of a finished job and separates it from other jobs sent to the printer before you have a chance to get yours. If you don't have network identifications associated with users it may just print a blank page as a separator.

I have a Canon MP730 and it has always worked great - until. I ran out of black ink and replaced tank. Tried to align the print head, but none of the black samples are even close to being a solid color -...

Hi There,

I believe that the printer head which feeds the ink dried out and clogged at the ink dispersal point. I'd suggest you take it to your nearest printer service capable repair center and just have them unblick the clog.

Canon iR C6800 prints leading and trailing blank pages

There is an option in the print driver to print a separation page (typically just a blank page unless you specify otherwise) so that each person's print jobs can be differentiated easily.

This option probably got enabled somehow on her PC. Have her go into the print driver's properties (right click on the Canon in the list of printers and select Properties) and look for the option that says separation page or separator page and deselect it. Then click Apply or OK, and it should be good.
