Question about Vizio 47" M470VT Razor LED LCD HDTV, 1080p, Black
Doesnt power up. vizio logo just flashes dim to bright. replaced power board, still does same thing???
I have this same problem with my Vizio. Model E601i-A3
60" LED, believe. Maybe 64"
Anyway, the solution is much simpler than these other answers make it sound. 1) Unplug tv from wall.
2) Unplug all external devices (all HDMI ports, any cable hookups, any rgb/vga connections, and any speakers attached.)
3) Unplug USB drives/attachments.
4) Plug TV back into outlet.
It should power up just fine. Then you can go ahead and reattach all your devices WITH THE TV SCREEN ON, reattach your USB sticks and you should be good to go.
Every time the TV is moved or is unplugged for any period of time, follow these procedures. The real culprit is the USB drives - the TV, like many laptops I've had, can't boot up with them attached. Thankfully once the TV learns what they are they no longer have to be removed.

DEAD WITH AN AMBER LIGHT
Do Not Order A New Board For This Vizio Model. You Can Fix This Problem For Pennys. Problem: Will Not Power Up Amber Led Only. Hint: No Reset To Operate Micro (Brain Dead) I'Ve Seen (3) Various Fixs Below, One Uses A Diode, Other Uses A 10k Resistor, Try Either. All 3 Will Work, Diode Works Best For Me This Same Reset Ic Goes Bad On Other Visio Lcd & Plasma Tv'S. #1) You Remove Smd U26 On The Video Processing Board And (Add) Put A 10k Resistor Across Pins 2&3. U26 Is Near The The Tact Switch. #2) Remove U26 And Solder A 10k Tru 100k Resistor Across Pin 2&3. Start With A 10 K First. #3) Remove Reset Ic Near Tac Switch Replace With 1n4148 Diode (Nte519).
