How to remove printhead

I wish to replace the printhead on my kodak5300AiO I CANNOT FIND INSTUCTIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE OLD ONE

How to remove the printhead from an HP 6520

Step one: Remove the old cartridges

  1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product, if it is not already turned on.
  2. Open the cartridge access door. The carriage moves to the center of the product. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before continuing. Figure 1: Open the cartridge access door c02937518.gif
  3. To remove an old cartridge, press the tab on the front of the cartridge, and then pull it up to remove it from its slot. Figure 2: Remove the cartridge from its slot c02938232.gif
  4. Repeat the previous step to remove each of the cartridges.

Step two: Remove the old printhead

  1. Lift the latch handle on the carriage until it stops. Figure 3: Lift the latch handle c01795083.gif

How do i remove old printhead and install new one

Replacing the printhead If your printhead is damaged or broken, you may replace it yourself.
  1. Make sure your printer is turned on.
  2. Open the printer access door by lifting from the recessed hand-holds on the sides of the unit. autourg00977009id2130369.jpg
    The printhead moves to an accessible position for handling the ink cartridges. The ink cartridges are seated in the printhead.

  3. Pinch the latch on the ink cartridge with your thumb and forefinger and lift it out of the print head. Remove both ink cartridges.

    caution.gif CAUTION:
    Insert the ink cartridges into the newly installed printhead as soon as possible to prevent any drying of the ink.
  4. Unlatch the printhead by lifting the rectangular latch on the top of the printhead.

  5. Remove the old printhead from the carriage .

  6. Remove the new printhead from its bag.

    caution.gif CAUTION:
    Do not touch copper contacts on the printhead, as this may damage it.
  7. Remove and discard the black plastic casing and the orange protective cap.

  8. Place the new printhead into the carriage.

  9. Push firmly against the target label on the printhead until you hear it click into place.

  10. Re install the ink cartridges. As needed, see Replacing ink cartridges.

  11. Close the printer access door. The printer should now complete a printhead calibration to ensure that it is ready to for normal operation.

Cannot get old printhead out does not work would to install the new old

before you removed the printhead out make sure its on the middle of the printer first., remove both ink cartridges., now theres a small tab on the upper left corner of the printhead press that tab then it will remove., and also you can press the tab of of the printhead on the middle upper part portion., those tabs is slightly hidden thats why your cannot see it

what do you want remove the printhead or the ink cartridges?

If the ink cartridges you just need to press the tab of the ink cartridges the pull it upward.

Now if the printhead you need to press the small tab on the upper middle part of the printhead., this tab is hidden thats why is hard to see., theres also a small tab on the upper left of the printhead you just need to press it to remove the Printhead

cartriges Take them out, push the button on the top left of ph and install new one, pushing on the thumb picture. then install cartriges.

Remove printhead

The User Guide (PDF installed on installation) has specific instructions, summarized below:
1 Make sure the EasyShare AiO is on.
2 Open the printer access door. The carriage moves to a center position.
3 Wait until the printhead is idle and silent, then pinch the pinch latch on the ink cartridge with your thumb and forefinger and lift it out of the print head. Remove both ink cartridges.
4 Unlatch the printhead by pressing the button in the upper-left corner of the carriage
5 Remove the old printhead.
6 Remove the printhead from its bag
7 Remove and discard the clear plastic casing and the orange protective cap.
8 Place the printhead into the carriage.
9 Push against the back wall of the printhead until it clicks into place.
10 Reinstall the ink cartridges.

And you are done!

Wont print black

Ok. Remove both cartriges. Put them aside. Remove the new printhead from its bag and all the protection things. To remove the old one, press the button at the top left of the printhead. Put the new printhead in, secure it by pressing the sticker with the finger, and replace the cartriges and print the alignment page.

How do I remove old printhead and install a new one?

open the access door at the top of the printer

Remove the ink cartridges

Put your finger in the upper left corner of the printhead ( inside)

you will feel a small latch rigth there push it upward

the printhead will loose and you may now remove the printhead

Printhead replacement

you may need to replace the printhead this is very easy to do first take out the ink cartrages and and look for the bulls eye right above the bulls eye there is a tab push tab to release printhead tray take out and replace with new one put tray in place and snap back into place replace ink cartrages.

Hello ahieser,

To remove the old printhead, you need to remove the ink cartridges first. And then remove the printhead by pushing the button at the top of the printhead while disengaging it from the carrier.
