SOURCE: TV picture is red.

Normal color picture is composed with 3 colors R-G-B (Red-Green-Blue). Picture turns Red means: Missing Green and Blue colors (many reasons: bad contacts, projector tubes dead, and other...). Try to give some "tabs" to diagnose ... I don't know what is the type of your Projection TV, how long you owned it, to have more idea.

SOURCE: colors out of focus- like a really bad 3-d movie

the convergence issue can be usually repaired by replaceing both of the STK392-110 Convergence amps and the six 1.2 ohm 2 watt resistors. You can get replacement parts at the following link with instructions on how to replace the ICs.

Color settings for an older panasonic tv trying to adjust the color setting for this older panasonic tv, it seems the dark colors are really dark and there faces are really red. Model# CT-32g19j

This is not a projection set; but a picture tube set or CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) technology. If the set is working correctly you should be able to go into the menu and set the color, brilliance and contrast to get the right color and picture intensity. If the controls don't give you what is correct viewing it may be over age and need an adjustment of the internal chroma circuits - which may cost more than the set is worth since it is quite old. Hope this helsp.

Color looks white washed!!!

there are in the older rear projection sets lens for those that do not use a lamp for a light source.

In the older sets there are three large black lens that can be seen and reached with the rear cover off---if there clean them as they are the light source in those sets and if dusty picture will look dull and darker than it once did.

If in doubt shoot me a model number.

Why is my picture

Since you do not supply information (type, brand, model, age)
about your set, it is difficult to guess at your problem. The settings are there (contrast, brightness, color) for you to readjust the set as it ages and are not often used past the setup stage when you get a new set.
Gamma is the base level to set the black part of the signal.

I do not know what lamp you would have in a TV set.

Color Adjustments....

well it all depends on where the tv is located to, if it is in a room with little or no light( windows, lamps) you will want you brightness to be a lil lighter hince not makin the picture as dark, and vise versa for light rooms, u'll wanna turn the brightness down a lil bit to accomidate this room, as for the others i'd say a lil over 50% on them, thats how my office tv is set up, hope this helps, jason
