Question about Kenmore Dishwashers
Usually when you start the dishwasher, you should hear the inlet water valve operate and let water in. The wash motor cuts in much later. If you do not hear the motor but everything else seems to be ok then the motor has burnt out. But if you hear nothing once you press the start button, then it is likely the cycle is not starting as the door is not locked. This could mean either the door switch is faulty or the latch is not engaging the door switch. It might help to please clarify the situation as above and also provide model number of dishwasher.
