I have a 19" TruTech Flat Screen TV that was working fine. I just turned it on with the remote and now there's only a blue screen with no image. I've tried turning my system on and off to reset it and all the connections are tight, and I've tried various buttons on the remote but nothing works. Can anyone help?

Simple things first---unplug set and a box from power if use one for a while, replug and see what happens, a power disconnect and reconnect will have a chance to reboot.

I have seen several times where a glitch with a box will confuse the set itself, know it sounds silly but I have seen it and not real hard to try.

Small blue dots all over the picture screen

In your tv the image is generated by 3 small LCD screens. In your case the blue LCD is dying - some pixels from it are no longer responding to the commands of the image processor.
To fix it you must replace the blue LCD screen. This is a very delicate job that requires extensive experience - you will have to call a repairman - and it will be expensive, around $600.

Blue and red squares over my image

A histogram is a graphic representation of the distribution of brightness values in an image. The C-5500 has two histograms. One displays a real-time graph on the LCD screen as you compose your images and during the Quick View of images after they are shot. The DIRECT histogram displays potentially over and under-exposed areas in the image with a grid of squares—red for over-exposure and blue for under-exposure. You can set the histogram to OFF to prevent the histogram from appearing.
