MODELS: CTC195/197, MM10x, CTC203 Chassis with F2PIP
DATE: July 14, 2000
TOPIC: F2PIP
The following modifications are required to change FPIP POR timing for added
reliability.
NOTE: All chassis manufactured after 950XXXXXX have the modification
installed.
Follow these steps in order.
All CTC195/7 – All CTC203
1. Insert a 2.2K ohm 0805 size SMD resistor from pin 21 of U18100 to ground
(192096). Note: This may require “piggybacking” the resistor on top of
C18114.
MM101 Chassis
1. Insert a 2.2K ohm 0805 size SMD resistor from pin 21 of U18100 to ground
(192096). Note: This may require “piggybacking” the resistor on top of
C18119.
The next steps are dependent upon the chassis under repair.
CTC195F, F2, F3 chassis
2. Replace R18111 with a 100K resistor (192084)
3. Replace C18118 with a 330nf cap (220132)
4. This concludes the modifications for these chassis.
CTC195/7 (except CTC195F,F2,F3) and all CTC203
2. Replace R18116 with a 100K resistor (192084). Both are off pin 23 of
U18100
3. Replace C18121 with a 330 nanofarad cap (220132)
4. This concludes modifications for these chassis.
MM101 Chassis
No further modifications are necessary.
What kind of computer do you have? There wuold have to be a video out or SVHS plug out from your computer. And a video or SVHS input to your TV. If both are physically available then there should be a computer configuration so your laptop can output to your TV.
the front panel assembly is rca part # 237420
I assume your chassis is a CTC203
Un plug the fpa and see if problem still acts up
you may not be able to find one
then try replacing the sticking buttons on it
