In general RPM is rotations per minute. This is usually a rating of the washer spin cycle; usually less water is left in the clothing after a faster spin cycle. The washer tub will rotate during the other cycles but that will often be much slower than the spin cycle.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(some front-loading High efficiency washers go up to 1200 RPM; top loaders only spin at half that rate usually.)

Why speedometer and rpm igle starts jumping after switch on the engine in Subaru Legacy GTB 1999

You can set it to do that or not do it. It's explained in your owners manual.

Speedometer, RPM meter, and audio system is not working. along with the lighting for the speedometer.

Sounds like a fuse to me it's very rare for several components to fail at the same time however one fuse can run several areas of a vehicle.
The fuses and their locations also a list of what they cover should be at the back of your owners manual if not you could do a search online under fuse locations for your model.

Victa mustang tecumseh just had service done please explain what this means:checked max rpm reset rpm to oem limitsthanks

A gasoline engine is made to rev up only so fast. If it revs or speeds up too fast it will blow up. Each engine has a rpm limit. There are springs and settings on the carb that controls this and you should not have to worry about it if some one has checked it out. They are just making sure your engine will not rev up too high.

I am not well versed on this unknown engine, but here is something to think about. If you look at the appropriate circuit scheme, there must be a part that controls your Maximum RPM. The Limp Mode is suppose to reduce RPM and Diesels do run at lower RPM than gas engines. Often an engine goes into LIMP when it senses overheating. On some engines, cylinders are deactivated and the dead cylinders are turned into cooling pumps.

Puzzling is the Glowplug warning. This can mean you have a dead short in some glowplugs. This easily can explain starting problems, but your engine will heat the glowplugs for probably 2 minutes or less and then they are off for a cold motor. Even restarting the engine when it is hot will not activate the glowplugs. So I can't see the glowplug problem causing a Limp Mode once you are underway.

It could be engineered to work this way though, and you need to refine the info about the Year, Model, and engine size.

I think I would try to change a temperature sensor, and pull the glowplugs out and test them.

How to fixcode755 solenoid B

755 (why drop the prefix?????) makes his 10x harder.

the FSM covers this , buy one or look online at alldata.com

P0755

the P0 COUNTS ! p means power-train, the 0 means federal std. code.

lets to TCM 101:

the TCM shifts this tranny,.

the TCM sends 12vdc to the solenoid to do SHIFTS.

the TCM checks the voltage at time of this command.

the voltage reads wrong, the TCM is not HAL2000, its just brick stupid

it only knows the test it did fail, and NEVER why

enter the technician and his FSM book and the steps to find it

the TCM can see solenoid faults 2 ways (at least)

voltage read back at the solenoid (the fsm is clear on this ,read it)

or RPM drop fail. VSS fails to drop or rise pre shift command.

each time the TCM shifts this tranny it looks at the TAIL RPM

and if wrong sets codes.

the FSM actual explains this. best.

now see actual FSM

Actual gear ratio and the Required gear ratio did not match during the CCM Rationality test.

see , unlike my first link (bad net bs)

the TCM does RATIONALITY tests.

that means it shifts and then looks at tail shaft RPM (VSS)

and sees rpm wrong. (tables of valid rpm in TCM)

at an up shift the RPM drop is checked. carefully. by the TCM.

and possible list. quite different.

  • * A/T component problems (i.e., in clutch, brake or gears)

  • * SSB is damaged, stuck "open" or stuck "closed"

  • * Transmission valve body is clogged, dirty or stuck

in barstool lingo.

tranny slips in any gear. related to B solenoid.

by valve body, that includes the actual valve B sticking or dirty or clogged.

make sure the transmission ground strap is no missing or bad.

this IS MY FIRST CHECK on all A/T cars...

the transmission must be 100% perfectly grounded at all times.

or it WILL fail. (TCM fails()

Hello I have a Hyundai tiburon 2003 v6 GT. I don't

the rpm's can vary from car to car , it all depends on the gearing in the transmission and ratios, 4.0 does seem high for a V6 the easiest thing would to be have your transmission serviced , on this car you need to get the Idle Air Control checked, In all the forums Ive read on this car , that seems to be whats wrong when the RPM's seem to high, also if you have the automatic trans and an electronic manual shifting mode does it do the same thing when you have it in the manual mode? there has been lots of discussion also on the MAP sensor,, I would suggest you have the OBD codes read to see if its listing any trouble codes within the computer that can help with locating your answers, once you get those codes if you post the results here, people will help you and explain what they mean, If you reply to this feed by replying, I will look them up for you

CPU fan and chasis fan runs at twice the regular speed of 2k rpm and 1k rpm respectively. The cpu temperature is normal and pc is in a cold environment. This seems to happen more when I watch online...

It is absolutely normal, CPU fan RPM can go as far as 3500 Rpm and Chassis fan as far as 2000Rpm. Best to have a cool PC, if you would like you can take a look at my tip entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!! it explains every-thing.

Thanks

Have motor at 1750 RPM..5 1/2 inch pulley have arbor shaft at 3 1/2 inches.. Prior solution by guru had link to calculation website .. link was no good.. no more links please !! need unit if possible...

You simply need a pulley 3.5 times the diameter of the Drive. Say 1750RPM reduced to say 500RPM. So Divide 1750 x 500 = 3.5. /10 It is simply a "Ratio" Therefore we need a reduction of 0.35:1 or 1:.0.35 meaning every full revolution on the "Drive" means .35 Revolution on the "Driven". So if your Drive pulley is say 5" Diam, you will need the Driven to be 17.5". So the Drive make 1750 Revolutions, the Driven makes 500. Use whatever actual figure you like, simply "Scale" up or down. Hope this helps.
