4310 front bucket only raises up half way

Could low hydraulic oil cause this

  • Anonymous Dec 04, 2012

thanks, i am guessing its because the level is low because it just stopped raising all the way up in the middle of the job. all the other hydraulics are working fine. i will top off the level and see if that helps. thanks

Low or the wrong fluid can cause the problem

SOURCE: John Deere 4410 three point hitch will not raise.

Im sorry, I thought you said you changed the oil. My thought was that perhaps the hitch might have bled down during the oil change. That happens occasionally with the tractor I service at work.

I hope you find your trouble. If you could let me know the answer, id appreciate that.

Low hydraulic pressure to raise implements 8650 john deere

Could be the charge lube in the rear differential. It supplies oil to main Hydraulic pump up front on engine. The charge pump drive can strip and not turn pump. To remove pump drive remove third link plate on rear frame, remove plug behind plate, pull out hex shaft, about 5 foot long and inspect.

One of the quick release levers will only open half way stopping the bucket frombeing detached

need more info on which make of truck and bucket in use
so taking a BIG guess

if its a manual release rod or cable adjustment
ad more grease
frayed or stretched cables

if its hydraulic release
faulty lever
lines are low on oil
look for leaks at joints or connections
or a pump problem

I have a 624j loader and the bucket stopped in raised position and will not move.

Check the hydraulic oil in the pump and check for broken hoses or cracked ones.

Trouble with hydralics

It MIGHT be low on fluid - that might explain its inability to lift fully. As to the tilt, if it moves slowly at first, then speeds up, that sounds like it has an air pocket that needs to be bled from the tilt hydraulic cylinder(s).

I have a 4310. The three point lifts only under high rpm and won't lift any weight at all. Cleaned screen and replaced suction and trans filters. Still have problem.

A 4310s 3-pt should be able to lift approx. 1-ton at 24inches on the 3-pt lifting arm. I thought there was a hydraulic reservoir and a transmission reservoir and it is not uncommon to put the wrong fluid in one of those You might check that transmission fluid didn't get in the hydraulic tank.
