Re: Restart time and admin login

I would suggest making a few changes at a time, if you haven't already I would update to the latest firmware, 2.11.02. I don't remember having that problem when I initially set mine up but it has been awhile.

How do I name and secure a netgear r router?

Use an Ethernet cable to connect a computer to one of the ports on the router. On the PC, hold down the "Windows" key, and press/release the 'r' key, and release the "Windows" key.
In the window that opens, type 'CMD' and press ENTER.
Type 'IPCONFIG' and press ENTER.
Look for the "IP-V4" address of the "gateway" -- probably something like ''.
Open Internet Explorer, and type '' (or something like that).
Now, login to the router's own web-server, using the router's "default" ID/password.
To secure it, set a new password.
Configure its "wireless" interface, to set an 'SSID' for your wireless network, and to configure it to use 'WPA2' protocol. Configure a password for your wireless network.
Restart the router.

I've forgotten the username and password for my router. The router I have is the DSA-3200. Airport wireless G public/private gateway. Is there any way I can reset the password to default

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. or or or If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

My dad is death and I don't now the password ov ZyWALL 2 plus..please help me... im ITALIAN

Hello there,
Im sorry for your father, by the way if you forget / lost your password(cannot access the web configurator you will need to reload the factory-default configuration file or use the RESET button on the back of the ZyWALL. Uploading this configuration file replaces the current configuration file with the factory-dafault configuration file. This means that you will lose all configurations that you had previously and the speed of the console port will be reset to the default of 9600bps with 8 data bit, no parity, one stop bit and flow control set to none. The password will be reset to 1234, also.

The procedure to use the reset button
Make sure the SYS LED is on ( not blinking) before you begin this procedure.
  1. Press the RESET button for 10 seconds, and then release it. The ZyWALL restarts with the defaults restored. Otherwise, go to step2.
  2. Turn the ZyWALL off.
  3. While pressing the RESET button, turn the ZyWALL on.
  4. Continue to hold the RESET button. The ZyWALL restarts with defaults restored.
  5. Release the RESET button and wait for the ZyWALL to finish restarting.
Hope it help and have a nice day,

Restart Cisco Asa 5510

Yes. The firewall will restart. Just be sure to save your running config to memory before turning off. For that you must issue the command: write memory.

Best Regards,

I want to set factury default to my fair wall dlink dfl 210

With the unit on, locate the small reset switch on the back of the router. Insert the end of a paperclip into the reset switch and hold for 10 seconds. The router will restart itself and the WLAN light will stop blinking.  The router is now reset to factory defaults.

Remember The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

ASA5510 Active/Standby Not Working

This is a old post, have you received and answer yet?

If not, make sure the internal interfaces are connected to one another and both have links. The ASA needs to have a "heartbeat" signal that passes between the 2 devices and this seems to be what's failing.
