Re: Restart time and admin login
I would suggest making a few changes at a time, if you haven't already I would update to the latest firmware, 2.11.02. I don't remember having that problem when I initially set mine up but it has been awhile.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Is this the router password for the configuration page or the password for Wireless internet?
You can access the router configuration page by going to your gateway address, then login. To do this, open up a internet browser, type in the gateway address(usually 192.168.1.1) and login. After you login you can change the wireless password or the admin password for the router.
If you are unable to do the steps above, you can hard reset the router to see if that returns it to factory defaults, however, you will lose any of your settings and most likely have to reconfigure the router.
To do a factory reset, normally, you can press the small reset button located on the back of the router, and hold it for 10 seconds.
For further assistance, you may want to contact technical support from the company who developed the router.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
You need to log in to the router. You can do this by opening up your web browser and in the address bar type:
You will then be prompted for your username and password. If you have
not previously changed this password then the login details should be as
If this doesn't work try:
If this still fails you can reset the router back to the factory
settings by taking a paper clip, and pushing it in the reset button for
10-15 seconds. Then restart the computer and configure your new password
settings in the router.
Would you kindly rate my answer please if this has helped resolve the problem - thanks :)
All you have to do is to reset the router. Here are the steps and instruction to restore it. Follow the instructions.
Connect your computer to the router using an Ethernet cable.
the router by typing "http://192.168.1.1/" into your browser
window. Use "admin" as the username and "password" or "1234" as the
password. These are the default user name and passwords routers
ship with. If you can access the router, change the wireless network key. If the username and password do not work, proceed to Step 3.
the reset button on the back of the browser and use an unfolded paper
clip to press the reset button. Hold down the button for about 10
seconds until the test light blinks.
for the router to reboot--about one or two minutes. Connect to the
router as instructed in Step 2. After a reset, you will have to
reconfigure all router settings, but you can also change the wireless
1. Open the browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape). 2. Access the Router (usually "http://192.168.1.1"; or "www.routerlogin.net" or "www.routerlogin.com"). 3. LOGIN TO THE ROUTER (User Name = 'admin', Password = 'password'; unless you have changed it).
and then click on advanced wireless settings...

In order to Unlock Netgear router you need to know the login password for router's login page and if that does not work, you can try with a default username : admin, Password : admin, still if you are unable to access the routers page then you need to reset the router by inserting a pin in the pinhole where it says reset at the back of the router...press and hold down the pin for 30 seconds and then restart the router, this will take the router back to default settings and then apply username : admin and password : admin....it should work
Netgear address : 192.168.0.1 ( Type in IE address bar to access it )
if this is fresh from the box, the factory default will be (username - admin) and the (password - admin). but if this already configured by the user before, all you have to do is restart it so that it will back into factory default.
simply press the "reset button" for 10 sec... then try to login as a factory default then configure it again
hi there ;
there is no such solution for ur problem ..... the only solution is to firstly reset the router for 30 seconds and then upgrade the firmware of the router ..... remove the powercord for 10 seconds ...
> Again redo the settings then ....
