Question about Acer Aspire 6930-6771 Laptop
The Acer Vista notebook has a doughnut shaped Easy Launch button located on the tigth side above the keyboard to enables wireless network. However, when I press the button the light does not go on and I cannot access the wireless netweork. I have another Notebook (Dell) which has no problem automatically detecting the presence of a the wireless network. How do I enable the Easy Launch botton to the wireless network?
Not sure if this is exactly what you're asking, but my orange light was off and wouldn't come on. Wireless had somehow gotten disconnected. The "repair" said that the switch or FN key needed turned back on. But it didn't tell me how.
What I finally did was go into the Device Manager and uncheck the box that says something like "turn off to save power". I think my battery got too low, so it turned off my WiFi. But nothing on the computer's help told me how to turn it back on.
I haven't tested this out, but hopefully problem solved.
I had to do a Restore to get my orange light / wireless back on.... So we'll see if all is well after unchecking the box.

Control panel network connections if your network shows right click
if there is Enable then click
if not click repair
if you have nothing there check devices and see if wireless card shows
let me know if this helped
you may need to setup a wireless connection
