Bosch dishwasher won't latch - SMV65E00GB/50

I have a brand new Bosch integrated dishwasher, run it through once to clean it before use, but now I can't get it to work. First it wouldn't start, so I was opening and closing and resetting etc, now it won't latch!! I am not familiar with it at all as I bought it to replace an old Bosch, but they are totally different! I don't even know wat the latch is supposed to look like or how it works. Please help.

Sorted now, apparently the dishwasher needed adjusting inside the integrating housing, lowered and brought forward. a little!

SOURCE: Opened door during cycle, latch now stuck in closed position, can't re-close

twist a paperclip around some pliers so you have a circle opening. then hook the paperclip around the latch and pull outward with the pliers. once the latch is facing outwards the door should close again

Try putting the unit into a test mode. This my clear your issues otherwise call for service.

One of two ways to do this.
In standby (no lights) Press the combination of buttons:
hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash > sanitize > hi temp wash
All lights will come on and the washer will run a test cycle anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
If that button comb doesn't work use:
heated dry > sanitize > heated dry > sanitize > heated dry

Bosch SGVE53E13GB Integrated dishwasher- cycles but won't finish

The heating element in the bottom of the unit may be burned out. With an ohm meter, check to see if there is any resistance with power removed and terminals of heating element exposed. If it measures about 1 or 2 ohms, it is okay. Anything more than about 200 ohms means there is likely a break in the element., If it is okay, then check the wiring to the heating element.

Door won't lock

If your dishwasher door won't lock, it could be a problem with the latch adjustment or the door seal. Some latches are designed to be adjustable, and yours may be set too tightly. Look at the owner's manual for specific instructions or follow these basic steps for adjusting the latch:

1. Spray WD-40 or other lubricant onto the latch.
2. Slowly open and close the door several times, noticing whether the door hits the strike plate (the metal plate on the top of the dishwasher frame). Use a hammer to lightly tap the strike plate to move it as needed.
3. If possible, adjust the depth of your latch by unscrewing the latch assembly using a screwdriver and reseating it. Work with the adjustment until it latches correctly.
Note: If your latch is permanently fixed, have a qualified professional address the problem.

The door seal-also called a gasket-can also cause problems if you have a brand new dishwasher or door seal. The good news is that the door seal will mold to the door's shape over the first week or so. Operating your dishwasher with the highest level of heat will help this process happen more quickly. Because the material is pliable, and because heat will soften it, it will seal to the door more securely after those first few loads.

On the flip side, an old door seal can also keep your door from closing correctly. Check the seal for signs of warping or damage. If the seal needs replacing, arrange for service, or consider doing it yourself. In most models, it's a relatively easy DIY project. See Dishwasher gasket replacement for step-by-step instructions.

For more troubleshooting steps, see Dishwasher door repair. I hope this helps!

I bought a new bosch dishwasher less than one year ago, and it doesn't clean my dishes because the lid on the soap dispenser will not open during the cleaning cycle. Please help SAP! Thank...

Try cleaning the latch that holds the door. After a year the detergent will build up on the spring causing it not to open. If that doesn't do it call the people who you bought it off of. It should have a extended warranty for a year.
