I had the same problem. Try this: Toggle first Hold Button, push to Hold then leave it Unhold. Then long press Menu Button and the Center Button together for 10 seconds. Voila! There solves your problem.

SOURCE: my Ipod Classic 160GB has no radio

The iPod Classic OS is same as the Nano. However, it looks to be so close as to come with the same settings checks off. The code to run the FM tuner is on the Classic and should have been disabled but Apple must have forgotten to turn it off.

SOURCE: Is there any way to fix the slowness of an iPod

I am going to assume that it is your performance that is slowed down.
Unfortunately, there are not many ways to improve the performance, but there are plenty of ways to bog it down.
A way that I found (because I owned a 80 GB) was to NOT display the cover art/album art and disable the album art preview that appears on the right side of the screen when its at a menu.
For the iPod, loading a video will always be slow, but it holds steadily after. I heard it on my iPod a couple of times where the music will slow down (by only a few beats, but its noticeable), no idea why.
Do not load pictures on the iPod either, there really isn't a point.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: i have an ipod classic 160gb and i go under

I have a 5th generation ipod classic and radio is listed in the menu. Once you connect a 3rd party FM tuner like the one from Griffin the FM radio screen pops up and from here you can tune into FM stations. You can preset stations and it even gives you the name of the station you are listening to as well as the song that is playing at that time if the station supports that feature.

160gb ipod wont load

Theres a few things you can do. Sounds like to me......1. remove ipod support and itunes and reinstall it. completely turn the computer off after each process. Then plug it in and let itunes recognize it, and see if it works. Before you do this try changing your settings. You can go and change settings to default. If that doesnt work COMPLETELY restore your ipod and reinstall ipod support and itunes and that will work for sure.
