Question about Washing Machines

What does a 130 code mean on my fisher paykel washing machine?

I am getting a code of 130 on the readout display. I have tried unplugging the machine as I was instructed before, but the code returns momentarily. Can you tell me what fault code indicates?

SOURCE: fisher & paykel washing machine fault codes

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing(joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove). Now it Works.

Emptied washer, tipped it on its side, detached drainage pipes underneath, and pulled out old fabric/lint/blockage with tweezers. Plugged in, switched on, all good.

Intuitive ECO Model IW811 display error codes 240 and 130. what does this mean?

The fault codes 130 and 240 are pertaining to a Rotor Position Sensor problem. It is the part located wedged into the motor stator and it's sole function is the detection of motor functions particularly the rotor as the name suggests. The problem can be a simple loose wire harness or a damaged Rotor Position Sensor.

Unplug the machine. Tape the lid closed then lay the machine's front on a padded floor. Remove the single bolt holding the "plate-like" rotor to the shaft to access the Rotor Position Sensor. Once the rotor is off, check the contacts on the Rotor Position Sensor end of the wire harness to see if any have been damaged. Each set of contacts in the socket has two wipers. If the distance between these wipers varies between different contacts, replace the Rotor Position Sensor harness. Consider replacing the Rotor Position Sensor if no issue is found with the harness and the connectors.

Code 130 is displayed and will not run even after unplugging for 2 minutes

Code 130 indicates Rotor Position Sensor (RPS) fault.

RPS is just underneath the machine. It can be accessed by removing the plastic cover (the outer part of the motor) by one bolt. Then remove cover to access the windings of the motor. Undo the four bolts, drop the windings off the machine; you now have two parts of the motor off and the RPS can be accessed. Remove it and clean it up.

Reset the machine again by unplugging for 2 mins. If it doesn't work, then it means that the sensor needs to be replaced.

I hope this information helps you.. Good luck! :)
