This is called the red ring of death, what I have researched try taking all the memory devices out (hard drive, any usbs, the expansion memory etc...) turn the Xbox on wait for it to boot up once booted turn it back off, make sure all connections for the memory devices are clean reconnect the memory devices to the Xbox and turn it on this should get rid of the RRod error 68.

Xbox 360

Hi,

This behavior occurs when the Xbox 360 console experiences a hardware failure.

Solutions..

Turn off your xbox 360 and remove all memory units and hard drive, power up your xbox again. if the problem appears to be resolved it could be a currupt or bad hard drive or memory unit. follow the above steps again but adding 1 memory unit / hard drive at a time to single out the bad memory device.

Depending on the devices warrenty or where you bought it, you should be able to get it replaced.

If the problem still occurs afetr all memory units are removed try removing all other external devices such as wireless adapter.

if it still occurs it could be something more serious such as the DVD Drive or graphics processor. in which case you will need to call the xbox repair center. they should fix it free of charge for you despite your warrenty under there current "good will gesture" due to the numerous amounts of xbox 360 problems.

hope this helps
