Record player repair

The top arm that swings over the spindle will control the automatic return. Leave the unit off. Swing the overhead holding top arm over and manually load a record. Now switch the top arm over the niddle spindle. Make sure that the switch is set for 7", 10" or 12" (45, 78, or 33). Manually place the tonearm at the start of the record and flip switch to 'play' (not reject or auto). It should play the whole record and automatically eject at the end and then shut off. Leave the arm swung over the middle after you loaded the record. Good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

My starter is sticking. it continues to attempt to start the bike once I have started riding. When i move the switch to ignition it automatically starts no button push required.

Find and pull the starter relay then try it again. If the starter still engages, it's something in your starter in the solenoid part. If this stops the problem, you've either got a bad starter relay or a wiring problem in the start switch. Have you made any changes in the wiring recently?

Good Luck

4hp briggs and stratton roto tiller motor will not engage when pulling the rope

There are 3 metal arms that come out when the recoil is pulled. These arms can get dirty or rust and stick in so the recoil won't engage the flywheel or crank. .You will need to pull off the recoil and lubricate and work back and forth the arms.

Can't get stick to move down to disengage, push with all my power

With the engine off, reach under your deck and pull on the belt. This will force the idler arm back into disengaged position so you can start it. You can probably free the mechanism up with penatrating oil by spraying the pivot point on the idler arm ( the bracket the idler is mounted to that moves back and forth) while alternatly engaging the lever and pulling the belt till it frees up and returns by itself.

How do you arm the factory security system? Pushing the button on the remote once?twice ? Need to know arming and disarming procedures .Thanks poorbob

push the button twice to dissarm the system, it will arm itself after about 30 seconds you should be able to see that its armed by the indicators flashing or if you have a siren fitted it will chirp twice . this function can removed but it will automatically self arm
hope this helps
kind regards

Janome JD1818 Automatic Buttonhole Not Working

If everything appears to be working correctly for the first side and stops and bunches up when it should reverse - Make sure you have pulled down the stopper arm (this is not clear in the manual) when the button hole foot contacts the stopper arm gently push the foot against the stopper arm and the direction will reverse and finish the button hole. **Stopper arm pulls down from above - Check the pictures in you manual carefully.**

Kenmore model 158-12392

It is a clutch issue.

If you can turn the handwheel manually and the motor belt is running OK but the needle will not move, you will need to check the clutch mechanism for the bobbin winder.

There are three ways for the clutch to engage, and as I do not know your machine, I offer all three for you to see which applies to yours.

Flick winder to the left to engage needle arm may activate automatically when the winder is set to wind a new bobbin and de-activate the needle arm

there may be a small wheel inside the larger handwheel....tighten the inner wheel to engage needle arm...

the handwheel may have a push/pull action ....push in to activate the clutch, pull out for bobbin winding.

If there is any more you need to ask or update your info to refine the question, just post back here, or drop a line through the "Contact Us" page at
