Taking too long to dry clothes

Just bought the house so not too sure how old this dryer is but it takes too long to dry any loads, like more than 60 minutes. I have taken the hose off the back, and cleared it, what is the next potential problem?

It takes exceptionally long to get clothes dry. I

Sometimes blower wheels will get loose in dryers. Sometimes they will get a whole lump of lint in them or you can hear a rattling noise in the dryer, this is the blower wheel, its worn out and it can cause the fuse to blow too,or it can half *** work and take fifty forever's to dry the clothes.Or it could be just that the dryer needs a good blowing out .I use a lawn blower to get all the lint out of the dryer as well as the vent pipe and vent to outside. I take the filter HOUSING out and wash it also. That is, I remove the housing and clean is good! Making sure that the dryer is properly flowing air is a good thing!

Dryer runs and has heat, but takes 3-4 cycles to dry

inspect your dryer vent if it is clogged or has standing water in it, that will cause your problem

Takes multiple cycles to dry normal load of clothes

Have the vent system from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house cleaned. If the dryer can't push air out, it can't bring air in, and the clothes won't dry. Another condition you might be seeing is moist lint developing around the gasket on the inside of the door. That's a sure sign the airstream is restricted somewhere.

It takes at least 2 60 minute cycles to dry clothes. Not even 2 years old yet. Not a new problem has always been this way. What is the deal.

Check the blower fan which is mounted underneath the drum on my DLE2514W front loading LG dryer. I experienced poor drying along with a loud thump at the start of each cycle. At first I thought it was a bad roller but later found that the blower fan had separated from its bracket so it was not turning with each turn of the moter but rather spinning freely.

Back & top of dryer get hot, clothes take long time to dry.

First thing to check for is blocked airflow. Check the dryer as well as the venting from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house good airflow is neccessary. You could remove the venting from the back of the dryer and run a load to see if that helps. Do not leave it off as it is exhausting lint and if a gas dryer spent fuel.

New Whirlpool Dryer taking too long to dry

Old dryers worked on the premis, "bake them til they are done". Newer dryers are all about saving energy. Newer dryers rely far more on airflow than thier predecessors. Most likely if your clothes are taking 120 minutes to dry for a new dryer, you have a ventalation problem. Make sure (even if it was "professionally" installed) that the vent from the back of the dryer to your wall in not kinked, bent over, or other wise restricted. Also make sure when the air is venting to the outside of your house you can feel a fair amount of air pressure there. Bulid up over time or even a nest being built in your vent can cause a restriction on airflow. These can be cleaned by a professional service or many appliance and hardware sell cleaning brushes and kits. Worse case scenario, Whirlpool will pay for customer instructs for the first 6 months. So even if they have to come out and tell you it's a problem with your house vent or electrical supply, whirlpool can be billed for this. Of course if there was a manufacture defect off the production line, repairs are still covered under warranty as well.

the vent that takes the air from the dryer out of the house is clogged. not the part right behind the dryer but from where it goes into the wall to where it leaves the house needs to be cleaned. when the air cant leave the dryer at normal speed it takes for ever to dry a load of clothes
