An i get the diagram for the ON OFF switch and volume control? mine is damaged i like to fix it

-"Can i get the diagram for the ON OFF switch and volume control?". I built mine based on a schematic generated by tracing the printed circuit board of a working unit. Some component values are non-standard but I just used the nearest standard values. The ON/OFF switch was also replaced by a toggle switch because the original is an integral part of the volume control. The 9-pin mini DIN connector presented the greatest hurdle in my part of the world but got lucky cannibalizing a discarded Strobe Pro scanner. The completed unit worked as charm. The schematic can be found here:

T7900 side speakers not working

Once you have installed the drivers for your sound card you will need to do the following.

Click start menu > Control Panel > Sound.

In there select the speaker tab by left clicking on it once.

At the bottom left hand of the window there will be a button that says configure.
In there you will have a series of options in which you can change the speaker configuration for your speaker setup.

The above instructions are assuming you are using windows 7 as you haven't told us what operating system you use.

Creative Inspire 5300 Volume Control broken!

For those searching the answer "How to replace/repair Creative Inspire 5300 volume control":

Its simple : looking at the back of the suboofer, the pins are as follows from top right, clockwise : LED VDD , Balance pot middle leg, GND, pots + legs, Volume pot middle leg, on switch input. Connect one pots ends to GND and the other ends to pots +, connect a switch on GND and on switch input, anode of led to LED VDD, cathode to GND (there is a 1,8k resistor inside so no external resistor needed)

ODDS are slim without a connecting unit best bet to accomplish this is to get the dds-100 by creative good luck though as this item is discontinued and expensive even still to date. you will need osmething to decode the signal from the tv. a receiver with any surround capabilities will also work

Got t7900`

I have had that problem with a T7700/T7900 speaker system.

Disconnect the remote control from the subwoofer. Then what you need to do is unscrew the remote volume/bass control unit (4 little screws). Swab the contacts on the volume dial with a cotton bud (q tip) denaturated alcohol or even perfume will work. Make sure you do it several times until all the slight dirt that is causing the volume fluctuation/spikes to happen. Also remove any remnants of cotton that might get stuck. Now you'll have it working as new as long do not cause any other damage to the unit.
