Question about Sewing Machines
I have been given a JONES CBD sewing machiene, NO instructions. My family need kit repairing prior to Going back on tour to Afghanistan, Their kit is falling to bits & I want to fix some of it. CAN ANY ONE HELP???

The information did not display when I click on solve.
The best information I have is that Brother Corp bought out Jones Sewing Co in 1968. If they rebranded the sewing machines I can not tell. You can search;
and see if anything matches your machine from the retired models.

Re-thread the machine and make sure that the needle is in properly. The tension would not cause the thread to break.
If it is not working, what is the machine doing? Try re-threading the machine again, check the needle to make sure that it is in correctly. There are no set numbers for tension- it is a feel, push, pull. If you could e-mail me back with a better description of what the machine is doing or not doing,

How old is yours (what is the serial number)? Which bit of the machine do you want to thread? I have a late model (550,000ish)...

Go to brother-usa.com and you can download it for free. Brother and Singer are great like this, free manuals all of the rest charge for them and you have to wait to get them adn pay shipping. Good luck & happy sewing. Please rate me.
