There is no button? Is it magnetically held together? The security lock slot is for securing it to a table or desk with a lock cable so it can't be stolen. I would bring it back to where you bought it. It sounds like something got banged and is now malfunctioning. Can you see between the bottom and top pieces of the laptop at the front? If so try using a business card to unstick the clasp. Go from either way. Left to right or right to left. If that doesn't work apply a SMALL amount of pressure to above the clasp, right on the frame not the screen, and try the card slide again. Let me know. Hope this helped.

Hi I have just tried to set up my son's ocean netbook. I seem to have locked the keyboard somehow!! Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Locked as in it doesn't accept input? Some laptops will have physical buttons on them for disabling the touchpad and keyboard. Please list the make and model if you need further help.

Thanks

Netbook memory upgradablity

The motherboard in this Netbook only supports upto 1GB per slot and as there is only one slot it means the maximum amount of RAM it can accept is 1GB. In short the answer is no.

To check for official specs visit this page.

This is to ensure that you do not spend extra cash on RAM only to find it not working afterward. Hope I saved your cash.

Toshiba NB-100 3G no sim card

The sim card must be in the NB100 before you power up, otherwise it will not read the sim.
