Hi i have 2 pc that were connected each other by addhook connection i add one printer to one of them and share printer the other pc can not see that printer

first thing to try is to restart both machines, have a look in network places for the printer, when you click print, click the find printer option and navigate to the network places folder to see if the printer is there. Make sure both machines are on the same workgroup.

My printer is not connecting wireless from my comp. I brought it over from my parents house to my new place and it wont work.

For installing a wireless printer on Windows XP, wireless router is an essential device.

Follow the recommended steps mentioned on the installation CD of the router, and set-up a wireless network.

Since several computers or laptops will access the printer, it is recommended to connect the wireless printer to the main computer through the USB port.

To begin the installation process on Windows XP, access the network setting in the Control Panel, and activate the file and printer sharing option in the LAN setting.

This will allow the operating system to recognize the availability of a wireless printer.

Now, click the Start button, go to Devices and Printers, select Add a Printer option.

Click the second option- Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

The computer will search for available printer and reflect it on the screen.

Click Finish; and the printer is ready to begin the printing process.

Cant connect to my computer. I have the driver compatible with windows xp installedbut i dont know how to connect to allow me to print.

Click on start button, and then click on printers and faxes. If you do not see your printer listed, click on add printer, and follow the instructions to add your printer

Make it the default printer, and then it will come up for all print jobs

It grabs several sheets of paper at one time

This is most likely a paper problem, the paper is basically sticking to the next sheet, Ensure the paper is stored in a cool dry place helps, dont load the paper with more than what you need for a couple of days and when loading the paper flick the pages to allow air between the pages
If this dosnt work try a different brand of paper

Add printer without a disk.

Windows should detect any new hardware plugged into the system and allow your to begin to install. Connect printer cable to your computer. Then plug printer to power and turn it on. Windows should detect the new hardware and let you install. If it finds your printer click on the pop-up box at the lower right corner of your monitor to begin install. If it cannot find the driver follow instructions below:

type in model (ie., hp psc1210v) of your printer in your browser search engine followed by the word 'driver'.you should be able to locate a place to download the driver. Install the driver, connect printer and turn the power on. windows should find new hardware and proceed to install.
