No, You can look at your Motherboards specs and usually it will give you the CPU options. If you have never changed a CPU before it takes a bit of research as to what is compatible with your system/Motherboard. The specs I found say you have a Pentium Dual-Core B950 3.4GHz., not to shabby, and a different socket . I don't see the amount of DDR3 Memory you have, but that would be a easy upgrade.

Upgrade proccessor

Dear Justin,

The Latitude E5410 service manual shows that the following processors can be used: Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 series, as well as Intel Celeron and it is also shown in the manual that the processor can be removed (it is not soldered directly to the motherboard) . And a review of this laptop by "Notebook Review" indicates that "The Latitude E5410 offers a wide range of processor options, spanning from the Core i3 370M to the Core i7 620M."

Although I do not know which processor you presently have in your laptop, I would say that it can be upgradeable from a Core i3, or Core i5 to a Core i7 620M processor.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Miguel L. Martins

On a laptop?, Most likely not. Laptops can't really be upgraded much, sadly.

I want to know if I can upgrade my i3 to an i7 prosessor. Lenovo Y560 laptop

no you cannot.. the socket size and type are diffrent ou will need to find out the exact model number of your laptop. It may be possible to upgrade if the motherbard supports it, sometimes you need to update the BIOS as well. This is something that would be in the laptop manual online. Also if you upgrade the processor make sure it is a mobile i5 or i7. Normally if its an i3 processor you could upgrade to an i5, but not always an i7. It will take some time to do this on a laptop as well. It could take a few hours depending how skilled you are.

Lookup the manual and find the one where it shows you how to take it apart if you decide to this on your own.

I had chage the Prossesor 1.g MHz with 2.4MHz. and error comes at Bios start 1801 invalid prossessor

The new Processor installed in your computer is not recognised by the BIOS.

Either you need to flash the BIOS to a later version or if it is a faster computer you want. Buy a faster computer. Upgrading a computer these days is expensive and the performance gain is not great.
Go for AMD Athlon 2 X2 or Intel I3 for office/light gaming loads. You may need to purchase a graphics card as well.

Take care!

Is i3 or i5 compatible to gateway lt3102i if none what processors are compatible i just wanna upgrade it thanks

That laptop uses AMD Athlon 64 single-core L110-series processor - so no, i3 or 5 will not work. And there are no possible upgrades, these processors have never been sold to customers, only to manufacturers.
