Re: dvd will not eject from slo player of hitachi 19TV...
Hi. There is no enough explanation about how the problem begun. If nothing like mecanism forcing or disc misplace was made it can be one of two things: electrical fail of tray or damage in mechanical parts. In both cases is better to take the set to a trained technician to try to solve the problem.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

Hi, For some reason the disk will not play. You push the eject button over and over again, but the disk slot will not open. Here's one solution... * 1 Turn off the DVD player. Wait a few minutes, turn the DVD player back on, and then press the "eject" button. If this does not work, turn it off and unplug the DVD player...while you keep pushing EJECT button plug the DVD and turn it on (your hand still on the eject..) is should come out.. * 2 ..if it does not eject , unplug the DVD player again, Remove the screws off DVD on the sides and take off the DVD casing. * 3 Look for the DVD holder inside the DVD player. This device holds the DVD in place while the DVD player reads the disk. * 4 Push the stuck DVD disk toward the front of the DVD player until the DVD ejects. Remember the DVD player is not on and some force ( gentle ! ) must be applied. * 5 While it is open, plug it on and place a DVD disc just to see if mechanism works properly.. * 6 Replace the casing and the screws. Plug the player in and turn it on. Put another DVD in to test whether the player is finally working .. Hope this helps!.. I have come across this a few times, one in fact last week!! The back needs to be removed from the back and the dvd section removed, Dont be afraid this is quite easy to do. lie the tv down face first and remove the stand and all screws, then remove the DVD section, should be 5 x screws and some leads that just clip off. Then you will need a small screwdriver or a knife to prize the second dvd out, this may scratch your dvd but its better than your dvd player being broke! Once out place the dvd player back in the set then re-screw it plug the leads back in and turn the set on and try to eject the first dvd, this should now be ok. Once done, turn the tv off and replace the back on. Just take your time and Obviously make sure the tv is not plugged in when removing the DVD. Hope this helps
I also have a bose Lifestyle 48, and the same problem has happen to me where the DVD player would not open,
Unplug the unit, Wait a few seconds, after plugging the power back in, immediately hit eject so that the player does not have time to spin up and try to read the disc again
Hi there, I just had the same problem with my daughter, looked in the manual and it says to hold down the stop button and press the eject button on the unit. That should unlock it, its the same procedure to lock it, in case you want to prevent you daughter from attempting to play biscuits!!
If these disks have not been finialized then they will not play on the dvd player. Turn your computer on and see if they will play. If they will then you will need to the dvd palyer finialize them. I hope this helps you. If not get back to me and then we can try a different way.
