Question about Canon Pixma MP800 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My aging Canon Pixma MP800 stopped scanning (printing/copying ok) and showed an error message 2,155,0 (not connected, cable missing, etc.) Tried (many times) all the usual recommendations (different USB port; better, shorter USB cable, update drivers, etc, re-install software, etc.) all to no avail. Was about to replace printer when I noticed a suggestion that turning off User Account Control would solve the problem. It did, but obviously this leaves my Windows 7 desktop less well protected. Switching between UAC on and off is not a practical solution. Whatelse can I do to scan without turning off UAC?

Do these following steps to correct the problem.
Click Start > RUN type there CMD hit enter then on the black screen type NET STOP SPOOLER hit enter, Then wait for about 30 seconds then on the black screen type NET START SPOOLER and hit enter then once the service is started try to print again.
