Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Installing the 922

I could not get the printer to contact with the computer so I unistalled the 922 program and now I can't get it to reinstall because of hardware issue

Make sure that the communication cable is attached at each end. You have not changed ports, correct? You have electric going to an at the printer. Try download the software and updated dribver and see if you can install with those.

I recently got a new Dell computer and kept my Dell AIO 922 printer, but now the icon is lost, I cannot scan. However, I can print, but that is about it.


Do you still have the Dell AIO 922 Drivers and Utilities CD? If so, you can reinstall it on your new Dell PC with the Drivers and Utilities CD. Although you are able to see this printer in your list, the other components are missing such as the scan and fax options. If you have already reinstalled it using the CD, you should see the All In One Center under the Start Menu/ All Programs/Dell Printers/Dell AIO Printer 922 and the All In One Center should be showing there. You can right click on the All in One Center and select "send to" and choose desktop to create a shortcut or icon on your desktop. Your options for scanning and faxing should be showing here. You need to go to Control Panel add/remove programs and remove all Printer programs. Then disconnect the USB cable, install the printer software until a message comes up that says plug in your printer. If no message comes up, complete the software installation and then plug in the USB cable. The computer should find the printer at this time.

Dell 922 AIO NT 4.0 driver is blocked


Download the printer driver from dell web site and try to reinstall. Before reinstall the printer driver you need to uninstall the previous printer driver from control panel->program feature->dell printer

My compaq Persario will only allow my program to print 1 copy to my Brother printer. I have unistalled, reinstalled, even did a total fresh install on the computer. I am running vist


Vista has drivers for many printers pre-installed, although they are basic and not fully featured. The trick is to just connect your printer to the PC/Laptop before installing any drivers and 'hope for the best'.

" Unplug the printer cable from the computer.
" Unistall the printer drivers from Device manager and also unistall the all the printer appications
" restart the computer
" Click here and slecet the operating system and download the drive
"

Printer won't install


Unistall delete old drivers from system before installing the full driver and software package (which includes MFC suite), brother have a unistall driver program on web site

 

MFC suite will enable scanning etc, drivers don't do that

it's unusual to have same problem if completely uninstalled printer(removing printer, then uninstalling,after which use printer installation cd then re connect printer when prompted). If you have a spare usb port install software then connect printer to a different usb port. Lastly try; go to printers and faxes folder>right click on printer icon>properties>advanced, then click the radio button 'Print Directly to the Printer' and see if it prints. Also make sure this printer is set to default printer Try an updated driver, if any,from the Lexmark web site, as they are the same printer without the Dell logo. Your rating is appreciated.
