Unfortunately, the "door latch assembly" is what you would need. It comes with a new concrete front tub counter weight which is redesigned to not be able to contact the door latch switch on out of balance spins. It is also a lot of work to replace. (you can not get just the little plastic part) Please don't rate this solution, as anything but a Fix-Ya lowers my score, and I know you don't want to shoot the messenger.

Okay, here ya go. This link should give you the step-by-step instructions you need:
I hope this helps you resolve the problem you may have. If you have questions along the way, or require further assistance please let me know.
As far as begin able to determine a visible flaw with the latch, the only part that you can check (that I know of) is the latching mechanism inside the slot in the door. The rest of the latch assembly is a sealed component, like an electronic module. There are a few connectors attached to it that you can check to see if they are making proper contact. You can access the rear of the latch by removing the to panel of the washer. Take the panel off by removing the three screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then off. You should be able to see the connector by looking down behind the front panel on the right hand side. You can also use this as an alternate method of replacing the latch if you like.
Let me know if you have further questions.

I bought a switch in Portugal by €7,5 and ...nothing. I bought a drain pump €18 and still not working. I have consult one tecnical expert by phone were i bought the pices and he said tha could be the pwc board (€75). Here in Portugal they quote €25 to come and €30 per first hour...I decided and I bought a new Lg with direct drive but I stored the old Lg (6 years old, without problems, and working 2 times per week)...if you try... and it works tell me ok ? Good Luck.

Unplug unit then You can open the door, then remove the spring loaded clamp that secures the door boot (rubber) to the front panel, carefully pull the door boot away just where the door latch is (no reason to completely remove) remove the 3 screws securing the door latch to the front panel..Then reach behind the panel and pull the latch towards the opening the give just enough wiring to do so undo the 3 wiring connectors to the latch assy. then pull out the rest of the way Reverse the procedure to reinstall
