Question about Jenn-Air Refrigerators
No visible frost and and service tech said fan was working properly.
The solution to this problem is to get this person or company to complete the job from your required request to repair your refrigerator. It sounds like your refrigerator compressor is short cycling or there is a lack of Freon. An experienced technician should have see these conditions on the first visit. This comes with a 1 yr warranty from date of purchase. Look and see if there is a thick frost buildup on the back panel in the freezer section. If no frost, shut the freezer door and feel for air flow out of the top middle vent in the fridge section. I would remove that vent cover to make sure the damper is open. If the damper is closed push it open then feel for air flow. If no air flow is detected then the evaporator fan motor is bad which is a very commom problem on this model, in fact the most common problem. If the damper is shut and when you hold it open you do feel air flow then the damper is bad. Let me know what you find.

1. check for dirty condenser sometimes if its dirty enough, it'll trip the compressor.
2. if condenser is dirty, well pull out the old garden hose and hose down the condenser (turn off unit first!)(i don't want any accidents... je je je)
if you did step 2 and nothing yet, suspect faulty relay/ overload/ start capacitor failure (relay and start capacitors fail more often then the overload.

Well guess what. Jenn Air / Maytag now has this issue as a recall. So just call them and tell them the fridge is not cooling. They will schedule a recall service appointment. Do be sure they schedule it as a "recall" service appointment or you will be charged.
That sure beats pulling out the hair dryer every time it happens!
