It's a common problem with a New OS. Sometimes you can use Win 7 drivers. Go to the Toshiba website and download, save the driver for the DVD rom. Open the driver and change the compatibility to Win 8.. This may help:http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316...

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: my matshita dvd-ram uj880es driver has a code 39 ,

Start>run>type in "regedit"

go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>>current cotrol set>control>class>{4d36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10319}

go ahead and delete the following,

upperFilters
LowerFileters
UpperFilters.bak
LowerFilters.bak

delete them, exit registry, restart and see if that fixes it.

(Remember to always back up your registry, and files when ever messing with the registry).

Matshita dvd/cd ram UJ880ES code 39

Try booting into safe mode. Check Device Manager especially for hidden multiple DVD/CD-ROM drives. Remove all and refresh. Windows should find new device and re-install. Run a through virus scan. This used to happen a lot when I did phone support back in the day.

Busco matshita dvd-ram uj-840s driver para el windows xp. Alguien me puede ayudar? No lo encuentro en ninguna pagina. En la pagina oficial solamente existe para el windows 2000. Gracias.

Not sure of your question; I read only English.

There are many sources for the drivers for your DVD; many would liek you to downlaod and use their driver update programs. An advantage is if there is ever an additional update the program will let you know. Here are two examples that you might consider as sources for an updated driver:

My matSHITa dvd-ram uj880es drive wont work.

There is a small hole in the drawer to poke a paperclip, or toothpick into and open it manually. Have you tried to see if there is a cd or something jammed in it? Or try to update the driver in the control panel system.

Dvd regions locked set on number 3 but unable to change to # 1.Have Matshita dvd-ram uj880es player on my lapttop

If the region on your DVD is locked then the EPROM has been flashed after 5 changes. The only way around this is to install a multi-region software.

The best one available is DVD Region Free. You can purchase these online at sites such as:

www.dvdidle.com
www.slysoft.com

Hope that helps

I have a Toshiba A-305 w/ Matshita DVD-RAM UJ880ES. In the device manager under Device Status, it states "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing....

This is a common issue and error with Mashita drives. Especially the error 39. I have ran into this problem with several clients. It's a simple fix. Go to the following link at Microsoft's website and follow the instructions for editing your registry. Be careful and follow the instructions exactly, Make sure you back up your registry before deleting the two keys they mention in the article. I have successfully fixed this problem on several occasions. Good luck.

Cd / dvd ram driver corrupted or missing

First if the computer is under warranty take it to get it fixed opening the case will void the warranty. if it is out of warranty consider opening the computer case your self and firmly make sure the wires are well connected. the reboot. third try downloading the driver form the manufacturer's web site. i think that brand is a Panasonic. If that still fails you might have a bad drive, which you can replace or have a local shop replace it. sites like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com have adequate replacement drives.
take a good look at reinstalling the driver. you can use the device manage for this or usually the driver form the mfg. will have an install package.

-good luck-
