ITouch screen frozen on USB and ITunes

I bought an ITouch on eBay, and it worked great until I tried to download a Navigation map from ITunes, and now I lost all songs, info, etc. I tried to restore it several times, and it does nothing. Now ITunes doesn't even recognize the ITouch when its plugged in, AND the screen is frozen on the USB and ITunes logo. Now what do I do? Thanks for any info.

I have the same problem. Just got the iPod touch yesterday - synched with iTunes, then was told of software update for iTouch, which I downloaded. Since then, my iTouch has been stuck on the USB - iTunes screen and I cannot do anything with it. I've tried the home button; also have tried the reset by holding on/off and home until it resets - but it goes back to the same screen.

My Itouch has worked fine for many months and never had any problems but jsut lately it went to the screen with a usb cable and I tunes logo. It now has randomly done this twice while listening to music or on a app. Last time i plugged it back into my computer and it worked again, any reasons why this might be happening or how to fix?

p.s already did the reseting and power off and it didnt work

    Thanks.....Phil McGroin

Okay well you have to do a full restore. Turn your itouch completely off. With it off, hold down the circle button and plug in the USB cable connected to your computer. The itouch will power on and you will see the apple, but keep holding in the circle button. After 15-30 seconds, you will see another (different) cable/itunes screen on the iphone. iTunes should then recognize that the itouch is in recovery mode and you can then do a restore. You should be good from there.
Remember, turn off the itouch. Then while its off hold down the circle button and plug it in. Keep holding down the button until the recovery screen comes up. Good luck!!

My ipod is disabled

While your itouch is connected to your computer, and itunes is open, press and hold the sleep/off button (the one on the top of the itouch) until the slider comes up on the screen. Slide the slider to turn off the itouch. Now, press and hold the home button (the one right below the screen) and at the same time, press the off/sleep button again. Hold both until you see your itunes page bring up a "restore" feature. Unfortunately, when restoring, you will lose all data (songs, etc..) Hopefully, you have this data in itunes and can easily download it back onto your itouch. This is the only thing that works. Sucks that you lose everything, but at least your itouch will once again work....

Itouch with windows vista problem

vista is a hassle in all my experiences, have you tried completely uninstalling itunes and reinstalling your brower
is it only the browser that cannot connect to the internet or is it other programs too?
you could try using a system restore point
