Try turning your xbox from vertical to horizontal or vice versa and if that isnt working do you have any error code appearing on your tv screen or is is just the one red light?

SOURCE: 4 FLASHING RED LIGHTS

4 red lights is not necessarily a hardware failure or ring of death. The cause is usually from AV cable not being detected or not connected correctly. The Eraser trick is good for Error 0102 make sure which error number you have! Suggested Solutions: 1. Try to connect and disconnect the cable and see if it makes any changes on the red lights status. Note that not inserting the AV fully will cause the 4 lights error to appear. 2. Make sure the AV Cable and the connector in the Xbox console are proper and there is nothing banded or twisted. 3. Try to connect it to a different monitor maybe this is where the problem is. 4. Find the metal area where it plugs into the console this is called the AV Pack metal area. Use a dry, lint-free cloth and wipe it. Then try to plug the AV again. * If you still can't make it to work and you have your warranty just send it in. If you don't have warranty I suggest trying the live chat support on Fixya!

SOURCE: xbox 360 e74 system error

E74 is NOT caused by a bad AV cable, it is NOT caused by the ANA/HANA scaler chip. It is the solder points on the GPU that have cracked. You must use a heat gun and do the XCLAMP to fix it. Shops normally charge $75-100 to fix that.

I have a daenyx lcd tv, model DN-15, input 12VDC-4A and am trying to hook it up to an xbox 360 console.

If you are using the Red/Yellow/White cable, that's composite cable, but if you're using the one that's Red/Yellow/White/Blue/Green, that's called component. So basically, you set your TV's input to the corresponding color match. 5 colors: Component, 3 colors: Composite.

MY XBOX 360 HAS GOT A PROBLEM WHEN I SWITCH IT ON ON THE FRONT WHERE IT SHOULD COME GREEN CIRCLE LIGHT IT COMES RED LIGHT AND IT DOSE NOT WORK CAN YOU SUGGEST SOME THING?

If the four quadrants is flashing red lights(all round red, not just a segment of it is flashing red), then you have a problem with the AV connector. It is either not being plugged in or bad so the console cannot detect it and it flashes red all round to notify you about this problem.
This is how you solve your problem
Disconnect the A/V cable XboxSupportWizardSolutionHtml1 If your Xbox 360 console has four flashing red lights, you might have a problem with your A/V cable. The A/V cable connects your console to your television. A faulty connection or cable can interrupt your experience. avconnectors.jpg Let's check your A/V cable connection
  1. Turn your console and television off.
  2. Disconnect the cable from the A/V port on your console.

  3. Unplug the A/V connectors from your television.

  4. Reconnect the cable to the A/V port on your console.

Note The A/V cable will meet some resistance before it is completely connected. Make sure that the cable is fully inserted.

  5. Plug in the A/V connectors to your television. The A/V connectors match the colors of the component video, the composite video, and audio ports on your television.

  6. Turn your television and console back on.

When i turn my xbox 360 on it starts running hard then the controller lights on the device start flashing red.

Four lights around the power button flash red on your Xbox 360 console. Four flashing lights indicates that the console does not detect an audio/video (AV) cable.
Note Four flashing red lights will not appear on consoles that have both an AV port and an HDMI port.

Which wires doi use to connect up my xbox with my

In order to connect your Laptop with Xbox 360, you will have to use the ethernet cable that came along with the Xbox 360,

For connecting the Xbox 360 to TV you would be having a HD AV cable if you have a Xbox 360 Pro model, you would have to insert one part of this cable with 3 colored wires red, blue and green to your composite video port behind your tv with similar color coding, and on the Xbox 360 HD AV cable you have an option to choose either TV or HD video output based on your TV make, also this cable has two more wires red and white meant for audio connectivity which would go to audio port behind TV with same color code ports

If you have got a normal AV cable with Xbox 360 then it would be a a wire with one single yellow colored wire for video and two wires Red and White for audio

this is called GPU BGA solder cracking...a hardware failure that kills the 360 video functions... You need to repair this BGA with reflow techniques...reflowing the gpu with a smd air resoldering station, and a good flux...seach for 360 reflow videos on youtube...

4 red ligths on my xbox 360.

The AV cable cannot be detected

THINGS TO TRY
  1. Make sure that the AV cable is correctly connected to the Xbox 360 console.
  2. Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, and then reconnect the AV cable to the Xbox 360 console.
  3. If the four flashing red lights continue to flash, try wiping the metal area of the AV pack with a dry cloth. The metal area is the end that plugs into the console. Wipe the metal area thoroughly, and then try the AV Pack again.
  4. If the AV cable is correctly connected but the four red lights are still flashing, substitute a different AV cable if you have one available.

No picture or sound on the tv

where you put the cables for the sound and picture if you look on the end where you plug it into the xbox 360 you will see a little switch it has HD and TV on it depending on what your tv supports (HD ready TV) (normal TV) switch that switch to what TV you have (e.g. HD TV, switch the switch to HD) if that doesnt work then try checking that you have all the cables in the right ports if you have pluged the HD cables into a normal TV then this is not going to work, check cables and check the switch!
