SOURCE: Batteries seems they do not charge. They show yellow &geen always

you need to open up you battery and check each on for voltage. take out the ones that have no voltage and resolder it with the good battery from your other non working one. you need to ruff up the top and bottom of the battery to solder a wire to it. make sure you dont touch the battery to the wrong polarity or you will get a spark or fire.

SOURCE: Charger not charging

Does this happen to both batteries or just one if it is both then i would suspect the charger is bad and not the battery

SOURCE: Both cordless drill batteries dead.

Your battery could say its good by just testing voltage, but when a load is put on it , its a different story. My dewalt batt. did the same thing I opened up the batt. case and there was 12 "C" sized batteries inside linked together with little metal strips. I bought 12 rechargeable "C" batts. and carefully drilled where the metal strips are soldered, changed out batt. and re solder. It's been over a year now and still drilling . Also you should do this one batt. at a time so you don't put one in the wrong order .

SOURCE: Bosch cordless drill PSR 120 12V will not charge up.

About the only indication if the charger is not working is when you put the batteries into the charger and no lights come on. This indicated that the charger is faulty. If the lights come on it is most likely the batteries. The best thing to do is take the batteries and charger to a Bosch service center and they will test them for you. Most will do this for free.

Bosch charger not charging

Its sounds simple but always worth a try, clean all the contacts on the charger, one will read the condition of the battery, If this is dirty, it may not be giving a strong enough signal to the charger and as such it will interpret the battery as faulty.

Will 18 volt black & decker charger over charge battery

Hello Howard, There are two different kind of cordless drill chargers. One is a smart charger that will not overcharge your battery. It usually has a stand alone base that the battery plugs into and sometimes may have a red and/or a green light to let you know it is charged. This charger will stop charging when the battery is fully charged after an hour or less. The other one is a dumb charger that can overcharge your battery if left on the charger too long. This charger usually has a square or rectangular transformer that plugs directly into your wall receptacle. This charger may take up to eight hours to fully charge your battery and will continue to charge until you unplug it.

I've got a Bosch ps30 drill that uses bat411

Directions say green light indicates that the battery is fast charging only,it does not indicate at exact point of full charge. I let my batteries charge for 12 hours for the first time charging, found out myself the same way. Try that and you will notice the difference.

I have a Bosch 18v Brute Litheon cordless hammer drill and impact. One of the batteries works just fine. The other one will not take a charge. The set is about 6 months old. Apparently it's been this...

you have a bad battery (defective) take the unit back to where you bought it and hopefully they will understand and exchange it out for you. If the dealer won't help you can contat the Bosch company, they typically will do an exchange even if you dont' have the receipt, (a courtesy exchange). You may have to pay to ship the defective battery to them. If you can prove when your purchased the system you will have less difficulty convincing them to give you a new battery. good luck with this, my experience with Bosch has been that they are a customer friendly company and should be willing to help you,as I would hope your dealer would

I have a 18v battery charger for my great neck drill but the red light insant lighting up when I go to charge my my battery, but the green one is lit up.

Try jump starting the battery. Li Ion batteries often have smart chargers if the battery gets to low the charger doesnt recognise it. If yo have a spare battery fully charge it ant then conect + to + and - to - with wire ( may take two people) kep them connected for 2 mins or so then try in the charger.

Worked for me

Battery will "fully" charge and then only run for 20 - 30 minutes of use then be discharged. Have fully discharged and re-charged to no avail. My other battery will run for 2-3 hours of use.

Hi Fred,

I have several 18v tool sets and for the most part I'm quite satisfied with their performance. I currently use Bosch and Ryobi.

When used with the drill, a battery can last me the whole day. On the other hand, the sawzall will eat them up pretty quick.

The thing I've found common to all brands is that it is absolutely crucial to make sure the batteries are fully charged before they get used for the first time. That first full charge seems to set the bar for subsequent charges for the rest of the batteries life.

I too, have tried the discharge/recharge thing. No help. I can only suggest a new battery and letting get all it can take from the charger the first time out of the box.

Since I've been doing that, I rarely even think to bring my charger to job sites, there's that much of a difference in performance.

Hope this helps you out.

Best regards,
Mike

18v Litheon drill charger won't charge battery. Green light stays solid even though battery is dead.

It could be the battery or the charger. Best thing to do is find a Bosch service center and have them test them. The litheon stuff is fairly new, there is a good chance it will be on warranty.

How long do I charge my 18 v PSR bosch cordless drill for as it only has a green light on it and it stays on when I put the drill onto the charger

about 180 mins or an hour and a half. if the light does not change, just make sure you put it properly on the charger base and time it for charging. Disconnect it after you are done. Usually, the light on the charger is just an indication that it is powered on.

Won't charge fully

If your warranty has expired, you're best off buying a new drill. Replacing batteries will quickly add up to the cost of a new drill.

I know they cost a lot more, but, if you want something that will last a lot longer, look at a Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Bosch, Hitachi for your replacement. Milwaukee actually guarantees their LiIon batteries will last 1,000 charges or longer.
