Question about Cameras
I hope you can help!! I have accidently deleted my pictures from my sd card by formatting in error (new camera). I have downloaded a couple of recovery packages ie File restore professional etc, however it seems to only be able to retrieve the pictures that I have MANUALY deleted SINCE the format mistake. Is there any way of getting back the pictures I've lost due to formating? I have used the camera once since formating, but have read that I shouldn't so I'm hoping you can help before I do anything else. Many thanks.
First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.
Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download 001 picture recovery software
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Try PC Inspector "Smart Recovery" from the following listing. Select "Intensive" mode from the File/Settings menu. The program may need to run all night in this mode. If this doesn't recover the photos, am afraid then that they're permanently gone.

I have had success with this camera picture recovery software named asoftech photo recovery... Download the program
You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Because you used the camera after you formatted or deleted the images and took new photos you have likely overwritten the files that were lost when you deleted them. It is critical that you do not use the card after deleting images in error.
I'm not clear how you "deleted" the missing files. Did you delete, or format the disk? If you formatted the disk, make sure your file recovery software is using the right settings to find files that were lost when you reformatted the disk.
